Oki, Love you!

Sleep didn't dare tread too close that night.

Once your sobbing ceased and your face became limp with only tears continuing to stream, you just held onto your brother. Went through the stages of grieving the loss of your relationship like you'd lost a loved one.

When dawn started to wake the sky, the air lightened. The weight of that loss, heavy as stone, lifted from your chest. The wound's rawness slowly started to fade and you found it in yourself to finally breathe.

You sat up as the sun rose, your brother sleeping at your side. Your gaze drifted out the window, drawn to the light. Usually, sore muscles in your back didn't hurt at all, as if the morning healed you with the prospect that another day was here.

And though you might not live through it with Bakugo at your side, you would live through it.

There was still a sour feeling in your stomach, an ache to hide and let more tears fall, but at least the shock had worn off.

When you got up, everyone was already heading out the door, to the bus that would lead them to their Provisional License Exam. Shoto asked if you needed him to call Fuyumi if you needed someone still, but oddly enough, for the first time in a while, being alone didn't seem like much of an imposition.

Once he left with his friends to get on that bus, Aizawa reminded you that you had a doctor's appointment. Right. Test results from that blood sample you'd given after the practical. It felt like forever ago, but it'd only been a few weeks. God knows a lot had happened since then.

You nodded, went to call Natsuo since Fuyumi was working to see if he could drive you. When you held the phone to your ear, stood by the main door of the dorms, some of your classmates were still heading out. Kaminari with his uniform almost literally half on as he rushed to get to the bus along with Kirishima and Bakugo walking behind him.

"See you later y/n! Gonna have our provisional licenses by the time we get back! You'll see!" Kaminari yelled with a big cheery smile as he ran out the door. You gave him a little smile, tried to keep your head down to refrain from getting asked why your dark circles were so big, why you looked so tired, why your face was still a bit swollen.

"Wish us luck, dude," Kirishima reached to pat your head gently as he got towards the door.

You hummed out a fake laugh, stretched that smile that was even less honest to keep up appearances. Because in all honesty, seeing Katsuki only a few feet away from you- looking fine, freshly showered, his uniform on the right way, his face undisturbed- like he'd healed overnight from everything...

His eyes didn't even glance towards you. Not even for a second...

Once Natsuo and you arrived at the hospital, he waited outside the exam room. He didn't have to give you privacy, you were just getting results read back to you on a chart and he didn't really know you that well.

Honestly, you and Natsuo never had much of a relationship growing up. But as you got closer to Fuyumi, you got closer to him as well. It was nice. He was a pleasant person. A proud member of the Endeavor hate club, although at this point you were sort of indifferent given how hard that man was trying to be better.
