Unforgettable: Part Two

I woke up on the kitchen counter and saw kairi sleeping on top of the coffee table. I wanted to grab a glass of water but realized, I HAD no water left. I sighed and looked at the time, it was roughly 3 in the afternoon. I went to go freshen up and change clothes, then headed out to the grocery store. there were so many couples grocery shopping, it sorta made me mad, kinda sad actually but I continued on with my business and got everything I needed as quickly as possible. when I got home kairi was still passed out but was now on the floor. i threw a blanket over him and made some breakfast — well, dinner at this point.

eli: I was about to check for your breathing, jeez
kairi: you can't get rid of me that easily

he struggled to get up off the ground

kairi: ooo! food! what are you making!

he came up behind me and rested his head on the crook of my neck, smelling the steam of the food.

kairi: clam chowder? classic you
eli: y-yeah well it's good!

I felt my face starting to burn up, maybe I was too close to the steam.

kairi: it is! I haven't had it in a long time so, you better make it good

he stretched and left to go take a shower

kairis pov:

if I could, i'd make out with arely on the spot. no hesitation. i just want to show her real unconditional love.. but it's too early for that, no, I don't mean time of day. i mean she just broke up with dylan and I don't want to force any feelings on her. she doesn't have feelings for me anymore, how could she, right? she fell in love with dylan so obviously she got over me. she needs a best friend a lot more than a boyfriend right now, so that's what i'm gonna be. I got out of the shower and walked back to my room but arely bumped into me

kairi: damn bitch
eli: sorry!

she looked at me up and down, I put my hand on her face and lightly pushed her while laughing

eli: what was that for?!
kairi: um you bumped into me! then proceeded to stand in my way!
eli: could've just ASKED ME TO MOVE?!
kairi: pushing you was faster

I closed the door, my heart pounding, why'd a simple look get me all excited?! I changed into some clothes and then walked back out

eli: you took too long, I ate without you
kairi: I hope your pillow is warm on both sides
eli: why would you wish such a horrible thing upon someone

I flipped her off and she did the same back. I sat down and ate while watching netflix on my phone

eli: dylan is stopping by
kairi: what?

I looked up at her

eli: he's getting his stuff
kairi: ah..

I finished eating and washed my plate, then went over to sit next to eli

eli: can I braid your hair?
kairi: absolutely-
eli: yay-
kairi: not
eli: WHY NOT

I chuckled while looking at my phone

kairi: you pull the shit outta my hair
eli: that's NOT true
kairi: YOU PULLED OUT SO MANY OF MY HAIRS LAST TIME I LET YOU BRAID IT
eli: THATS CAUSE YOU KEPT MOVING
kairi: whatever, you're not braiding my hair
eli: FINE

she threw herself back, laying down and putting her legs on my lap

kairi: are you gonna take a nap?
eli: yes?
kairi: we literally woke up like 3
eli: no, YOU woke up 3 hours ago, I woke up 5 hours ago
kairi: two hour difference
eli: do you know HOW MUCH WALKING I DID TODAY?
kairi: what, AROUND THE STORE?
eli: UHU, PLUS WALKING BACK TO THE APARTMENT
kairi: FROM YOUR CAR
eli: JUST LET ME SLEEP
kairi: FINE
eli: OKAY
