"Baby, I'm sorry! I promise it's not what it looks like." I stared at my boyfriend of two years, naked in the same bed with my cousin.

"I mean, it looks like you're fucking my cousin. So what's there to explain?" I caught her smirking. My cousin, Ivy, and I have always had a terrible relationship. She was always trying to get on my nerves by doing something that would make me mad.

A couple of years ago when I was 18, Ivy's boyfriend at the time was flirting with me at our family's cookout. I kept trying to reject him, but he wouldn't stay away. I told Ivy, and she said I was just looking for attention. Later on, he tried to kiss me, and Ivy walked in at that point. As I said, he tried to kiss me. But Ivy thought I was trying to kiss him, so she slapped me. I ain't no bitch, so I fought her back. We fought each other on the floor until some of our family members finally pulled us apart. Since then she's been trying to "get back at me."

"I'm sorry Adriana, he was flirting with me," she pouted. I gave up a while ago trying to explain to her that I didn't try to kiss her ex-boyfriend. So I flipped her off, and my eyes fell back on my ex boyfriend.

"Royce, just get out, I'm too tired to argue with you." The whole time my face lacked emotion. I wanted them to think I didn't care even though that wasn't the case.

"Wait, Adrian-"

"Get. The. Fuck. Out." I said bluntly as I opened the door. He quickly grabbed his remaining clothes on the floor and ran out.

    What a pussy. I thought.

I gave Ivy one last glance before I walked out of the room.

As I was walking out, she said, "Karma's a bitch." I clenched my fists and kept walking to my room. I knew she wanted a reaction from me. I started to feel tears well up in my eyes, so I quickly grabbed my keys and went to my car. I ended up driving to my best friend, Sana's, house because she was the only one I could talk to.

I pulled up to her house and got out of the car. By the time I got out of the car, I was a whole mess. My mascara was ruined due to my massive flow of tears, and my false lashes were already falling off. I pulled out the spare key Sana gave me to her house, and quickly unlocked the door.

"S- Sana." My voice was super shaky. I walked upstairs when I saw she wasn't downstairs. As I opened her room door, I found her in her bed watching Netflix on her TV.

When she noticed my presence, she turned the TV down and said, "Hey Ana." She smiled, but then quickly noticed my tear-stained face. "What's wrong?" She rushed over to me and took me in her arms.

"R- Royce cheated."

"Where is he?" Her concerned face turned murderous. She let go of me and reached over to grab her keys.

I pulled her and said, "Fuck him, I just need comfort." Her eyes softened as she put her keys down. She went back to hugging me as I cried into her shirt. After my cries finally calmed down, I finally looked up at her and said, "You know who he cheated on me with?"

"Who?"

"Ivy."

"I know that bitch did not hold a grudge for four years just to get back at you."

"I know right," I chuckled.

"She's literally older than you, that's just childish." she rolled her eyes. I sighed and wiped my face.

"Let's do something, I don't wanna stay miserable." She nodded and we started watching a movie with a bunch of snacks in her bed.

Sana was the only person that has seen me in such a vulnerable state. I never cried in front of anyone except her and grandma. She's stuck by my side since middle school and even after all the shit I've been through, she always was the one who helped me through it all.

When I noticed the sky becoming dark, I looked at my phone and checked the time.

"Shit! Sana, I need to go before my parents get home. I wasn't supposed to go out today."

"Wait, why? What did you do?"

"I'm failing in one of my classes, so they said I couldn't go anywhere until I catch up."

"But we're adults, they can't tell you what to do."

"Well my parents are strict, adult or not I'm a child in their eyes. I also still live under their roof," I chucked as I rushed to get my stuff together.

"Oh yeah." she chuckled too. "Good luck Ana."

"Bye Sana!" I yelled before leaving.
