Ch. 1 "Lost"

My eyelids slowly flutter open, It was dark, my entire body hurt, it appeared that I was in the woods, due to the hooting of the animals, 

I slowly sat up feeling excruciating pain, 

I looked down, claw marks, blood, bite marks, bruises, 

I didn't understand, 

I tried to remember, remember anything, but I was drawing a blank, I can't even remember my own name, 

I slowly stood up only to fall to the ground, I hissed in pain due to the injuries I had, 

I stood up again holding onto a tree trunk, my breathing shallow from how much effort I had to put into this, 

I was panicking pure panicking, 

I couldn't remember anything, where I lived, my name, how old I am, I can't remember anything, I don't know who I am, 

I looked down at my feet, 

I was bare foot, but I had clothes on, 

What was I doing in the middle of the woods without any shoes in the first place? I thought 

Not far from me I spot something, 

A teddy bear, 

I picked it up and held it to my chest, knowing it was the only comfort I had at the moment, 

I decided after cuddling the bear for so long, I decided I needed to figure out who I was, and to do that I needed to figure out where I was, 

I was walking when I heard the horn of a car, 

Which caused me to flinch looking around confused, I was in the middled of the woods, 

Then I heard another car, 

So I decided to follow the noises, 

Not long I came to a road, I decided to go right and follow the road, I was starting to get a little sluggish and tired, but I kept pressing on, 

It seemed like I was walking for hours, my hair sticking to my forehead due to how hot it was, the sweat just falling down my face, 

But that was the least of my problems, 

Soon I came to a sign, 

'Welcome To Mystic Falls' it spelled, 

It had to be very late because by the time I got to the town no one was around it was abandoned, 

The moonlight shining down on the streets, 

I looked around on what to do next, I was extremely lost, 

I just wandered around as I hugged the teddy bear, 

Suddenly out of no where a man appeared, he was dressed in a suit, 

"My goodness what is a little one like you doing wandering around here at this hour, don't you know it's dangerous," The man said 

I tilted my head in confusion, 

He took a few steps towards me and I backed up a little, 

"It is alright I will not harm you," He said 

He spoke as if he was from another time, I thought 

He kneeled in front of me, 

"May I?" He asked motioning toward the injuries on my face, 

I nodded, 

My chin was in his fingers gently, he tuned my head so he could look, 

"May I?" He asked motioning to my shirt, 

I nodded yet again, 

He lifted my shirt which revealed claw marks, 

"What did this too you?" He asked 

"I... I don't remember," I said with a raspy voice
