Zhongli eyed the chestnut haired girl from the corner of his eye, a look of pity directed at her.

There was only one word to describe this.

It was cruel.

Hu tao blankly stared at the coffin infront of her.

This was the first time she didn't want to do her job.

Her hands roamed over to the coffin carvings before landing on the glass.

She eyed the lifeless body and bit her lip.

"You're so unfair."

"Boo!"

You flinched, surprised, causing you to slash the blade on your hand, you slightly winced and looked at the girl.

She immediately frowned and knocked the blade away.

"Sorry for scaring you. Why are you hurting yourself again?"

Her red eyes glared at you, before softening and turning sad.

"I... don't want to see you die. Your death would be the only death I wouldn't want to see."

Your eyes softened

You slightly ruffled her hair causing her to pout.

"Sorry."

She glared at the coffin and at the vision on her hand, which was losing its light, making her cry.

"You should've let me help."

"Yahoo~!"

You looked back on your shoulder and saw the polearm user behind you, wrapping her hands around your waist.

"Tsk tsk! You thought you were gonna get away from me, hmm? Well, too bad! I'm coming with you!"

You sighed as you pryed her hand away from your waist and straightened your vision.

"I don't want you to go with me. Besides, I could protect myself."

She pouted before crossing her arms.

"Well, I want to protect you!"

You smiled.

"You don't have to. I don't want you to hurt yourself when you use your vision."

She was slightly taken back causing red to creep up her face.

"I-i can handle myself!"

"I can too. Don't worry. Do your job or something."

When she found out you had died she didn't want to believe it.

It wasn't an accident or anything, you planned to die.

If she forced you to let her come, the outcome would have changed.

It was her fault you died.

Xingqiu, Chongyun and Xiangling try to reassure her that it wasn't her fault, she knew too that it wasn't her fault.

But blaming herself was easier than accepting the fact you were dead because of your selfishness.

"You should've let me go with you."
