Ch.4 Doesn't Look Like a Bad Guy

■3rd Person POV■

Y/N opens her eyes as a stray of light hits her face through the small circular window of the room. Y/N folds her thin blanket and places it at the edge of the bed. Y/N sigh and a scene from last night flash through her head.

The face of Kuroo when he caught her creeps into her mind. Somehow the memories from last night make her heart feels warm. How Kuroo got injured but trying to calm her down during the storm. 

Gradually her point of view of Kuroo and the other of the Nekoma's pirates changes. Though she's kidnapped by them, there's something that prevents her from think of them as bad guys.

They treat her kindly, though she only met four to five of them daily, she already saw them all on the first day she was abducted. Well, there is one member who makes her feel uncomfortable, but she only saw him once.

The door was knocked, Yaku comes with Y/N's breakfast.

Yaku: good morning princess!

Y/N looks at Yaku as he walks closer and places the tray on the table. Yaku is one of the people on board that often comes for her. He's kind to her and after what happened last night, she starts to waver.

They... really don't look like bad guys at all... Y/N thought

Yaku: eat up princess!

For the first time after days of staying on this ship, Y/N looks up at Yaku and says something that surprises him.

Y/N: Yaku san... can I... go up?

Yaku was startled. The princess asked to leave her room. Yaku does feel bad for making her stay in this cramped room for days. Yaku thinks for a while.

Yaku: um... princess, I need to ask the captain about this... but I really want to let you get a breather...

At the mention of captain, Kuroo's pained expression crept into Y/N's mind.

Y/N: Y-Yaku san.... how is... Kuroo sama? His... shoulder... and head

Yaku looks at Y/N, definitely aware that the girl is worried about their captain. This kind of confuses him of how a hostage worried about the kidnapper's leader. But then Yaku sigh, and smiles.

Yaku: princess... hurry up and eat... let's go up...

■Y/N's POV■

Yaku san is walking next to me as he escorts me to the deck. It's the first time I leave my room after sailing on this ship for days.

The moment I step out of the narrow hallway, the wind breeze hits me and I couldn't help but amazed at the ocean. Just then.

Lev: whoaa princess!!! Good morning

Lev san approaches me, he really is tall but he's very lively. He's always kind and humble. I give him a smile and greet him

Y/N: Good morning... Lev san

Lev was stunned but then his face lit.

Lev: p-princess is... greeting me ba-

Yaku: yeah yeah, you're in the way, the princess wants to get a breather... not talking with a pole

Yaku san pushes Lev's face away and walks. I followed him, then I met Kai, Inuoka, and other members of the Nekoma pirates.

Everyone is so kind... how did they get the terrible title from?

Just when we climb a quarter deck, as we're about to reach the highest stair, I saw Kuroo sama's back as he's looking into the far horizon.

When Yaku san calls him, Kuroo sama looks back at us and his eyes widened. But then, those eyes turn gentle and Kuroo sama smiles.
