The restaurant is nicely decorated, with rose petals strewn on the table and butterfly paintings on the walls.

'Look, it's your favourite flower,' I whisper to Adrien, nudging him under the table.

Mari overhears me. 'Yeah, what is it with the Agreste's and roses?'

'W-what do you mean?' Adrien looks slightly disgruntled.

(definitely not because Gabriel gives his dead wife flowers in the basement he keeps her in.)

'Never mind that, look at all the paintings!' Rose squeals, grabbing Juleka's hand and taking her over to the largest one, which features a large blue butterfly.

'Um, akuma alert,' Marinette whispers, poking me. Luka is on her other side, carefully examining a huge menu.

'You know what they say, the bigger the menu the fancier the restaurant,' Luka points out, handing Mari the menu.

'It's even a two fork restaurant,' Adrien adds. 'If you drop the first fork, there's always a second one.'

'That's not what it's for,' I shake my head. 'That's definitely not what it's for.'

'Yes it is,' Adrien argues. A playful smiles shows on the corner of his lips. 'Watch this.'

Looking around to make sure no one's watching, he drops the fork on the ground. It clatters softly to the carpet.

'Adrien Agreste, when are you going to grow up?' I sigh with exasperation.

'When my father stops treating me like a child.' he shoots back with a grin.

'I've never seen this side of you before,' Marinette says thoughtfully. 'It's quite intriguing.'

'Okay that's enough,' Luka smiles. 'Adrien, if you would kindly go back to being the goody-two-shoes you normally are.'

'Jealous, are we?' Mari kisses Luka on the cheek. 'Don't be.'

'Who said I was jealous,' Luka says, glancing at Adrien sideways.

'Besides, Adrien is already taken,' I say airily, before slapping a hand to my mouth. 'I mean-he will be soon if his father hasn't already arranged for him to marry Kagami.'

'I'm sorry, what?' Marinette gasps, her mouth dropping open. 'You're with Kagami?'

'Adrien's dating Kagami?' Alya says from the next table and Nino looks over as well. Thankfully, Juleka and Rose are already being served across the restaurant so they don't seem to hear.

'I am NOT dating Kagami,' Adrien rolls his eyes. 'But I'm definitely taken.'

'So who is this mystery girl?' I tilt my head. 'Do tell.'

'It's um, a secret,' Adrien invents. 'I can't tell anyone yet.'

Marinette laughs. 'Why not?'

Adrien remains silent.

'Cat got your tongue?' I add.

'Would you please quit it with the cat puns?' Mari rolls her eyes. 'Every. Single. Day.'

'It's a miracle you understand every single one. Quite miraculous.' I shoot back.

'Oh yeah-' Marinette glares playfully at me. 'Real mature joke.'

'I think I'll order Camembert,' I say thoughtfully, changing the subject. 'I have a friend who really enjoys it.'

'Wait, are you talking about Adrien?' Luka asks. 'Adrien always smells like Camembert.'

Mari's eyes widen. 'I never noticed that.'

'Not even when you were sniffing that statue-' I smile innocently.

Adrien bursts out laughing. 'That was hilarious.'

'Not funny-' Marinette shakes her head. 'Not funny at all.'

'Oh, beautiful statue of Adrien, your wax is so soft, your yak hair is silky-' I start.

'Shut up,' Marinette groans.

'No, please continue,' Luka's eyes light up with amusement.

I clear my throat. 'Your eyes are so green! Oh, shall I be a statue, too? Everything would be so much easier.'

'Y/n!!'

'-Why haven't we been molded together in the plaster of destiny? — marble to marble, wax lips against wax lips, entwined for eternity.'

'Eternity sounds like a really long time,' Adrien adds, and we all burst out laughing.
