Y/n didn't even look ashamed of herself as she stood in the library in front of Lisa, idly fidgeting with her hands.
The librarian sighed, shaking her head at the h/c haired girl, "You really do love causing trouble, don't you y/n?"
Y/n puffed out her cheeks, "Some creepy dude was messing with Sucrose."
"You turned him into a toad-"
"I regret nothing."
Lisa sighed as the angry y/n crossed her arms, looking away with a pout.
Y/n had been practicing alchemy with Sucrose keeping an eye on her. Some person had started harassing y/n's friend and in retaliation, y/n tried a little alchemy trick she may or may not have learned from Albedo by watching.
Now, she refused to turn the man back into a human and he would remain a toad until Albedo returned from Dragonspine.
In the mean time, y/n was sent to Lisa who would be the one to decide her punishment. Probably the only person, other than Zhongli(and Xiao) who could effectively get the e/c eyed girl to behave.
But Zhongli wasn't here, Xiao couldn't leave Liyue and y/n was being stubborn so it was up to Lisa to decide what punishment she would give y/n.
"Well, this is your lucky day." Lisa sighed, "I'm too busy to think of a punishment worthy of someone who turned a person into a toad..."
"Busy?" y/n questioned, "May I help?"
Lisa smiled, raising a brow, "Are you willing to help put away over five hundred books, keep visitors in check, help people find what they're looking for and manage the library until I return from a little trip?"
Y/n nodded, "I mean... I spend a lot of time in the library. I can manage it until you return. How long will you be gone?"
"A couple hours." Lisa replied.
Y/n shrugged, "Easy."
She beamed when Lisa pat her head with an affectionate look, "Why thank you, y/n. Even if you are a troublemaker, you're still adorable."
"Valo." y/n replied happily.

Y/n quite liked the library.
It was always so peaceful and she got to read about so many things there.
It was her thinking spot.
So you can imagine how pissed she gets when people mistreat her thinking spot.
"Oi!" she whisper shouted at a couple who were being too loud, "Quiet! This is a library."
"Oh, I'm sorry, I didn't realize we were being too loud-" the man began to apologize but his girlfriend or wife stopped him.
"You don't have to apologize to her, she isn't the librarian." the woman told her partner then glared at y/n, "You look absolutely filthy. Go back to whatever forest you came from and leave us be."
Y/n raised a brow, "Dala?"
"You heard me!" the woman snapped.
Y/n picked up a book from one of the tables, walked over to the woman.
She stared for a moment before stating, "I will have order," and slapped the woman with the book, a loud smackechoing around the library.
Her partner gasped while the woman stood there in shock, holding her cheek.
"Say that again." y/n said flatly, "Do it."
The woman growled before grabbing the man's hand and storming out of the library while y/n watched with a calm expression.
The day was mostly uneventful as y/n assisted a couple of people with finding what they were looking for.
Y/n knew the library like she knew Dragonspine, aware of where every book, map and document was located.
Things were going well but seemed to get even better when y/n got a visitor.
"Y/n!" A voice chirped and y/n looked up form the books she was placing on a shelf.
She turned her head and smiled at Sucrose as she hurried over to y/n.
"Olah, Sucrose!" y/n greeted sweetly, "Are you okay? Not hurt, I hope."
"I'm quite alright." Sucrose assured y/n with a smile, "You know, you didn't have to turn the man into a toad..."
Y/n shrugged, "I borrowed it from one of Albedo's notebooks. It was labeled 'Creep Repellent' so I used it."
Sucrose giggld, amused by y/n's obliviousness while the h/c haired girl's cheeks heated up at the sound of the bell-like laughter.
"So what brings you here?" y/n questioned, "Are you looking for a book?"
"No, I actually came here to thank you!: Sucrose exclaimed and presented some cheese and crackers to y/n, laughing when the girl's eyes lit up.
"Tomo!" y/n exclaimed then sweatdropped, "But... no food is allowed in the library..."
"Ah! You're right!" Sucrose gasped, "I'll just give it to you later. You really love the library, don't you?"
"What makes you think that?" y/n inquired, tilting her head with a curious look.
"Usually you say rules are meant to be broken but you always abide by the rules placed in the library." Sucrose explained.
"Oh." y/n murmured, "I dunno. The library is a calm place. I like it."
Sucrose chuckled, "So you do love it. Do you need help putting away books?"
Y/n beamed, happy to have the female as company, "Of course! Yes please!"

"Wow, you did a great job of taking care of the library!" Lisa exclaimed, happy to see that y/n had done her job right and kept everything organized.
Y/n beamed with a proud expression, "I had Sucrose to help me!"
Sucrose blushed and rubbed the back of her neck sheepishly, "I didn't do much..."
"Well, I guess that's all for your punishment, y/n. Though I wouldn't really call it that... it seems like you enjoyed yourself." Lisa chuckled.
Before y/n replied, the door to the library opened and everyone looked.
It was Albedo. And he didn't look happy.
"Y/n."
"Oop, gotta blast!" y/n chirped, running towards the blue eyed male and ducking past him to avoid being caught.
Sucrose and Lisa watched in worry and amusement as Albedo ran after the girl while y/n shrieked about how she wasn't turning the man back into a human.
