"Yuki-chan! It's time for bed." Tenji shouted from the bathroom. "Come brush your teeth!"

"Going!" Yuki replied from the living room. He was just about finishing doing the worksheets his papa had given him.

It was fall and winter was just around the corner and in the couple of months Tenji had lived with them Takumi felt as though it was about time. They were going to tell Yuki earlier in the day but Takumi kept pushing it back and now it came down to telling the boy right as he was about to go to sleep.

"Let's do this tomorr--"

"No! We agreed we'd do it today. I let it pass during breakfast and even during dinner. We're telling him now."

"What if he can't sleep--"

"You're the one who's gonna keep tossing and turning all night, if he has questions he'll probably ask in the morning."

"Ask what?" Yuki yawned.

-.-.-

Takumi was a coward. He'd finally admit it. It wasn't him who told his son. It was Tenji. Tenji told Yuki as he tried his best to sit still and not run away.

"So Papa likes Shin." Yuki pointed from Takumi to Tenji.

"And Shin likes Papa." He pointed back from Tenji to Takumi.

"Yes, that's right." Tenji smiled, elbowing the coward who wouldn't stop shaking his leg.

"Is it alright with you?" Tenji asked.

Yuki looked between the two. He could practically feel the nervousness radiat off the two, more so his Papa who was much more visible with it.

Finally Yuki gave them a firm nod. "It's okay."

Takumi stopped shaking, facing his son. "R-really?"

"Yeah." Yuki nodded again. "But don't take him away!" he pointed to Tenji.

And with that, the three felt closer to a family.

While it was true Yuki went to the park a couple blocks away. It was also true that he did in fact lie to his Papa about playing with the other kids.

It wasn't that he didn't want to. He really did. It's just... he didn't know how.

He didn't know why they only wanted to play heroes and villains. He didn't know why that was all they'd talk about when there were so many other things. His Papa had made it clear to not tell anyone he was quirkless. So when the other kids did ask him to play and they asked for his quirk he simply made up an excuse and went home.

He was just tired of everything having to do with quirks and how everything revolved around quirks. It irritated him. And when things irritated him he'd simply go to his room, throw a pillow on the floor and take a nap. Takumi never questioned it, having thought it was because he was exhausted but when Tenji picked up on it, it was much more difficult to hide it.
