Pt 3 Chapter 1 - Reunited

* Two weeks later *

Y/n's POV

We were lounging around on the sofas, drinks in hand watching the telly. Nat had her arms around me, holding me close like she always did. Life had been quiet and relaxed. We spent very little time away from the tucked away house and when we left it was only to get food. I had had a few more nightmares including the glowing stone. However I just assumed it was something trivial, aside from the occasion gut feeling things somewhere were going wrong.

The room was pretty quiet aside from the trashy tv show. We were sat quietly after dinner as the light outside faded. It was good, however the peace was broken when Steve turned over to look at the news. Headlines showed a huge spaceship crashing through New York. The screen changed to a news reporter and an image of Tony. The writing beneath said he was missing. "Shit!" Sam stood from his chair. My heart dropped, as it showed the ship taking off and Tony following swiftly behind until they disappeared out of focus. We all got up off our seats without hesitation. Steve turned off the telly and we all ran upstairs to suit up. As we took off in the quinjet my phone rang. It was Wanda. Finally. "In Scotland, you know where. We need back up. Please there's-" and the phone went silent.

"Change of plans, we're going to Scotland. Hurry!" I yelled at Steve, he spun the jet around and took off towards Scotland. Nat grasped my hand and smiled at me, seeing how pale I had gone because I was worried. Going full speed we made it there in 15 minutes. As we sped over a city we saw a flash of red from Wanda's powers. Steve landed us in the street and we sprinted to get to the train station they had just crashed into. I took hold of Nat's waist and used my powers to fly us closer, Sam carried Steve. I got a glimpse of Wanda and Vision on the floor and two dark figures landing in front of them as we entered the station. We stood on the edge of the track as a train sped past. Steve suddenly leapt onto it, grasping onto the door as it went down the track. He jumped off, across from where Wanda was. We sprinted across the bridge to the other side of the track and watched. The slimmer creature threw a sort of spear with blue glowing tips, it aimed at Steve however he caught it with ease. Clearly it shocked the thing as it stepped back slightly. Vision and Wanda looked around to see Steve stood. It looked rather dramatic as he emerged from the shadows. Sam had flown up and swooped around to kick the distracted creature.

It had greyish skin and dark horn like features coming from their face, their eyes glowed an orangey red. The impact of Sam's kick sent it flying through the air and through the glass window of one of the cafe's. Nat ran at the other larger creature as Sam flew back around and fired at it. I sprinted towards Wanda and Vision to check if they were ok. I looked back to see the spear flying at Nat, she caught it and skidded on her knees to duck the large weapon of the second creature. As she did so she hit him with the glowing stick, then with another smooth move stabbed him. She spun and kicked him, making him fall to the floor. I smiled, feeling proud of her. Steve joined her, fighting the two creatures.

I reached Wanda and crouched down to talk to her better over the noise of the fight. "Hey!" I smiled.

"Thank you!" Wanda sighed, her head was cut and Vision was looking a little worse for wear. I looked back to see that both creatures were on the floor, my teammates stood over them.

"Vis is injured, their sword or spear or whatever it is stabbed him. But it's done some damage." Wanda looked from me to Vision, her eyes full of worry.

"Are you hurt?" I asked her. She shook her head as she began to wrap Vision's arm around her shoulders. I moved to position myself under his other arm. We lifted him up as I watched what was happening with the others.

"We don't wanna kill you." Nat said to the things on the floor. One was crouched next to the other who was clutching the stab wound, courtesy of my girlfriend.

"But we will." Nat added.

"You'll never get the chance." The female looking thing replied, her voice was almost robotic. She hit something on her wrist and the two disappeared in a beam of blue light. The spear in Steve's hand followed them. We all looked up through the hole in the ceiling. A ship which looked the same as the one that had been in New York passed overhead and disappeared into the night. The others walked towards us, and Nat holstered her batons.

Me and Wanda had managed to get a better hold of Vision in order to support his heavy body weight. He was glitching slightly, presumably from the damage to his circuits. "Thank you Captain." He said weakly. Steve nodded slightly, looking him up and down.

"Let's get you on the jet." Steve said, his rough voice almost a little frustrated. We helped Vision into the quinjet and Sam got in the pilot's seat. Nat closed the ramp as we took off. She looked a little angry.

"I thought... We had a deal? Stay close, check in, don't take any chances." Nat said angrily, like a mother telling off her child.

"I'm sorry. We just wanted time." Wanda said softly. I sat across from her, resting my elbows on my legs. No one replied to Wanda's words. I looked up at her with a small smile.

"Where to Cap?" Sam asked Steve who was staring blankly at nothing. He looked at me and I looked up to meet his gaze. "Home." He said and I couldn't help but smile. I got up and passed him, taking a seat in the other co-pilot chair next to Nat. She reached across to take hold of my hand, squeezing it gently. I looked around at Wanda and she smiled at me again. Her fingers were intertwined with Vision's and she was stroking his hand with her thumb. Steve took a seat on one of the other benches. Looking down at the floor, his face was quite blank. I sighed, relieved we were all back together. Well, those of us who were still in contact. Who knew where Thor or Bruce were at that moment.
