Maingat na nilapag ni Trigger sa kama ang asawa na mahimbing na ang tulog. Dahil sa biglaang pananakit ng ulo nito ay nakatulog na ito sa byahe.

Enica laughed on the other line. "Sorry! Ikaw kasi, bakit ka tumawag sa ganitong oras. Alam mo namang tuwing gabi ako nagfo-focus sa trabaho."
"It's not my fault. You should have turned it off before answering my call! For God's sake, paano kung gising si Miracle at narinig 'yang mga punyetang ungol na 'yan?" frustrated niyang tanong.
Mas lumakas pa ang tawa ng babae. "Just like when Miracle thought that we had sex back then because I watched porn videos in your room?"
Mas sumama pa ang timpla ng mukha ng lalaki. "And when you sent a picture to her when I'm accompanying my brother's wife?"
Natahimik ng ilang segundo ang kausap.
"Excuse me! Hindi ko rin kaya alam na si Autumn 'yon! And that's because I want Miracle to be my friend. Sa kaniya ako kampi noon! You can't blame me!" depensa nito.
He just rolled his eyes in a manly way. "What ever. By the way, buy the most expensive cellphone and bring it to me. Miracle needs a new phone."

"It was wrecked when I encountered that one," he answered.
"Okay, I get it. Ipapadala ko diyan bukas ng umaga. Oo nga pala, you have a trip tomorrow. Isasama mo ba si Miracle?"
"She can't go with me. It's a dangerous site. Hindi pa rin siya nakakalakad."
"I'll tell Shanelle to be with her tomorrow. Miss na miss na ng babaeng 'yon 'yang asawa mo," natatawang saad ni Enica.
Trigger let out a laugh. "I know, Shanelle wanted to have some time alone with Miracle. I'll just tell Eric to babysit their children for a while."
"Gusto ko rin sanang samahan si Miracle kaso alam mo na, abala ako sa under ground kasi ang magaling kong boss, pinapaubaya lahat ng gawain sa akin!" panunumbat nito.
"Just do me a favor, Enica. I want to be with my wife and you know that."
"Oo na! Do everything to gain her love back. You've been suffering for years and you deserve happiness also, Trigger. Bigyan mo naman ng oras ang sarili mo. Masyado nang maraming nangyari sa 'yo the past five years. So be happy with Miracle."
He smiled a little. "Thank you, brat. I'll hang up."
Nilingon ni Trigger ang katabi nang makita itong kumikilos. He immediately smiled when Miracle opened her eyes.
"Trigger?" she called his name softly.
Humiga siya sa tabi nito bago ito haplusin sa pisngi. "Hey. I'm here."
Miracle smiled sweetly when she saw his face. Pumulupot ang braso nito sa katawan niya bago siya yakapin nang mahigpit.
"I heard you talking to someone. Nagising ako, akala ko may tao rito," natatawang saad ng babae.
He chuckled. "I was talking to Enica."
"My friend?" she excitedly asked.
Trigger nodded his head. "I need to go somewhere tomorrow. I can't bring you with me since it's a dangerous site. But if you want to come, I'll find a way."
Mabilis na umiling ang asawa niya. "It's okay. I don't want to put another burden to you, Trigger. Dito na lang ako sa bahay, I'll wait for you," she said while smiling.
"I'll tell Shanelle to come instead. She's your closest friend back then, and I know you'll like her. She's a good person, just like you."
"Talaga? Did I met her in college also?"
He nodded. "You met her first before you met Enica, Jelo, and Jela."
"I want to hang out with her so badly. I'll ask many things about my past. Baka sakaling matulungan ako ni Shanelle. Of course, with your help also."
Trigger's smile faded after his wife mentioned about her past.
Miracle wanted to gain her memories back. She's too curious about it. Pero kapalit no'n ay ang paglayo ng asawa niya sa kaniya sa oras na maalala nito lahat ng pinagdaanan nito. She won't forgive him for all the things he did. For all the things she thought he did.
He doesn't want her to regain her memories. But if it will make everything better, he'll just help her.
For now. Kailangan niya munang magsinungaling sa asawa. If hiding the truth from Miracle will keep her safe from the trauma, he's fine with that.
Trigger faked a cough before flashing a smile.
"Don't force yourself, baby. I'll ask Dra. Haley about some medicines to help you. But now, give yourself some time. Your memories will come back slowly," he said.
Nakangiting tumango ang asawa.
"Thank you, Trigger. I can't wait to remember everything. Ayoko nang pahirapan ka sa pag-aalaga sa akin. Ayoko na ring maging pabigat sa inyong lahat, you guys are all suffering because of me," malungkot na dagdag ni Miracle.
"You'll never be a burden to me, wife. And back then, you used to take care of me. Hindi ka nagsasawang intindihin at alagaan ako noon." Maingat niyang hinalikan ang noo nito.
She flashed a sweet smile as she closed her eyes. Ilang segundo pa ay naging mabigat na ang paghinga ng asawa, tanda na tulog na ito.
"You gave your attention to me back then, baby. And I miss those days so much." Dahan dahan niyang hinalikan ang labi nito.
"I rather bring back the old you, Miracle. I'll do everything for you to forgive me," he silently whispered.
