NEXT CHAPTER UP MARCH 28 FOR WILLOW GREENE. THANK YOU FOR READING!

3rd Person POV

Marvin awakes with a start, jolting awake on the couch in the living room of Willow's apartment. His heart pounds rapidly in his chest as he looks around the dark room from the couch. It was 3 in the morning. What had awoken him up at this time?

The screams of Willow Greene
The moment he realized that the screaming belonged to Willow, he jumped from the couch and make a beeline for her bedroom, busting through her door so hard that he almost broke it off its hinges

Upon bursting into the room, he sees Willow's bed empty. He searches the room quickly before finding her in the corner with her legs pulled to her chest, tears rushing down her cheeks, and her face red from screaming. Marvin rushes over and drops to his knees, grabbing onto her shoulders

"Willow!" Marvin exclaims. "Willow! It's okay!" He exclaims, trying to get her to stop screaming. And that's when he notices: her eyes were wildly looking around, unable to land on anything. She was still asleep. She was having a night terror

Her face was simultaneously ghost white pale but also red from screaming. Tear streaks were rushing down her cheeks. Her hair was a mess and her oversized shirt was getting caught in her kicking feet every now and then

Marvin knew he couldn't help her alone. So he pulls out his phone and calls the first number. And in less than 10 minutes, he is letting Alex into the apartment

"I got here as fast as I could." Alex says, dropping her motorcycle helmet to the floor as she and Marvin run to the room where Willow is sitting

"She stopped screaming a few minutes ago." Marvin says. "I don't know if she's awake though." He says as Alex drops to the floor in front of Willow

"Willow, it's Alex, can you hear me?" Alex asks as she begins checking Willow's vitals. She grabs a stethoscope and listens to Willow's beating heart. "Willow, it's Alex, can you hear me?" She repeats again but Willow makes no sign that she heard Alex. Alex grabs a small flashlight and turns it on, waving the light between Willow's eyes. "Follow my light." She directs. Willow doesn't. She still makes no sign that she recognizes that Alex is here. Alex pulls Willow's eyelids open a little more and looks closer with the light. She turns the light off and stands up, looking at Marvin

"Well?" Marvin asks

"She's still coming out of her night terror." Alex says

"What can we do for her?" Marvin asks

"Other than getting her back into bed and making her comfortable?" Alex asks and Marvin hangs on her words: this is his...his daughter. "We need to brainstorm the root of the problem."

"I think you and I both know the root of the problem." Marvin says and Alex sighs

"She's showing signs of PTSD." Alex says, looking at Marvin. "How long has she been doing that?"

"Showing signs of PTSD?" Marvin asks. "Hell, almost her whole life." He says and Alex turns her head. "It was no secret that Base Ops wasn't... the kindest to her." He says. "She's had PTSD since she landed on Earth..."

"So...years." Alex says

"Yes." Marvin says. "She's done a good job dealing with it. Base Ops forced her to deal with it."

"PTSD isn't something you deal with. It's something you heal from." Alex says. She looks down at Willow in her zombie state again before sighing. "Well, look I didn't even know she had PTSD which means she's done a good job masking it but it's obvious it's flaring up."
