↢Y/n's POV↣

Y/n awoke with a start, a little gasp slipping out of her as she sat up.

The Mitachurl who's belly she'd been sleeping on grumbled in its sleep and y/n rolled of its belly, trying not to wake it.

The little girl looked around at the spot her and her mother figure were resting.

She looked up wearily at the snow covered arches that looked like bones.

The little girl had come through this place with Matr many times before. But she never liked the aura it gave off.

She would always have strange dreams too. Ones that involved a battle with a dragon in the skies only for it to end with her plummeting towards the earth below.

The h/c haired girl tensed, sensing life nearby. That was... odd. Never before had she seen life forms in this area.

No animals, hilichurls or humans, at least. Something else was here. The girl's ears never lied.

She wandered away from Matr, following the familiar thrum of life.

It led her to a cave, an eerie crimson red glow coming from within its dark depths.

She hesitated, pulling her oversized cloak around her for comfort before walking inside.

Her e/c eyes wearily observed the red stones on the ground. Thr same red stones she'd seen around Dragonspine and on the tree. That tree Matr called the Blood Tree.

The red grass and the stuff that reminded her of innards that covered the wall. It all had the sickening smell of of death that the young girl, fortunately, was not used to.

She stopped in her tracks, staring wide eyed at the core in front of her. Surrounded by rocks and a disturbing aura radiating off of it.

(This gives me the creeps...)

She realized it was a heart.
