i wrote a poem about missing autumn in winter... why i thought about this in SPRING-

anyways, i hope you enjoy it<3

------

when autumn

plunged into

the bone-chilling

cold

of solemn winter,

did you feel

my shiver

as the trees danced

with barren branches

to the winter wind's

whispered song

of warmer days

when the sun

wasn't just a flickering

lightbulb

uselessly

dangling from the sky

but a mother with

a warm hand

cupping your cheek

sending sunlight

rushing gold

through your veins?

did you hear

the snowflake soldiers

fall from the sky

to march on

the frosted grass

to claim it?

they're silent

but strong

in their numbers,

suffocating the world

in blankets of white

and painting over

months of mother nature's

past work,

turning beauty

into blank canvas

i miss

the soft crunching

of converse

on dried leaves

that were once

dipped in

the warm oil paints

of sunset

and the nights

when the wind

swept up

under our sweaters

playfully,

not bothering to leave

goosebumps,

and the world was

slowed

for a moment

like the dramatic

slow motion

before we're

pushed back

into action,

and autumn

gave me time

to pick up my pieces

and remind myself

that air

can taste sweet

love,
