"so, you might be wondering what a team does after they win the championship." aisha robinson spoke into her phone, "the answer? victory nachos!"

a week after the competition, they were all gathered in a diner - eating nachos and any other sides that were ordered. gioia barbusca, moon lewis and eli moskowitz - or hawk, were squeezed on one side of the booth while demetri alexopoulos and aisha were sat on the other.

"it was supposed to be a round of drinks, but the waitress was not feeling hawk's fake id." the girl continued.

hawk gazed up at her, "hey, don't talk about that - my parents follow you."

"sorry, mr and mrs moskowitz." aisha winced, "anyways, until next time, no mercy, bitches."

"sorry again that you guys had to postpone this because of me." gioia spoke, her italian accent still strong, as aisha put her phone in her pocket.

"don't mention it." hawk muffled as he gave her a curt nod.

"it's okay." aisha shook her head, "you're looking better already."

"aisha's right, gioia." moon nodded, "your skin is glowing and your hair is shining."

the girl laughed, "thanks guys."

demetri picked up a chip, "i gotta say, it's nice to be at a victory party."

"yeah, except you had nothing to do with the victory." hawk took it from his hand and ate it himself.

gioia rolled her eyes and pushed her nacho tray towards him since it had been untouched.

demetri gave her a grateful smile before pushing it back, "well, then i consider it a belated party for the coding competition we won at computer camp. remember?"

"sing it again for us, metri."

" ♪ demetri and eli, binary brothers ♪ " the boy sang, adding in some dance moves.

the three girls burst out laughing, much to hawk's dismay.

"hey. cool it with the nerd shit, huh?" the blue-haired boy glared at his friend.

"hey, where's miguel?" moon asked gioia, "his wings are getting cold."

"he's... somewhere around." gioia shrugged.

aisha stood up, "we'll go get him, you guys okay here?"

"yeah." moon nodded, "go ahead."

"sure." demetri mumbled.

the three shuffled out of their seats and aisha began leading them around the diner, where they found miguel diaz sat deserted.

"el serpentine, there you are." hawk greeted his friend.
