mirror

They say that mirrors never lie,
yet they can still deceive.
I am still confused as to
which ones to believe.

A simple change of lighting
can distort my entire reflection.
In every mirror, I look at myself,
double-guessing my own perception.

To parasitic thoughts
It seems I've fallen host.
Imprisoned within my own flesh,
I cannot feel my ghost.

My mirror has a tiny fissure
From when reality shattered.
It bounces back the light
after reflecting on my skin.

Harmonious chaos between light and darkness begins,
Do we truly know who we are?
A pale dot among the stars,
Conflicted without reason, knowledge or understanding.

I no longer know how to distinguish,
the dream from reality.
