I have so many thoughts for California involving musicals (no one can ever convince me he isn't a theater gay) but there's just so much Potential with Be More Chill.

In particular, Michael in the Bathroom.

I know it's kinda cliche, but I can just imagine Cali jamming to it thinking he's alone (spoiler: he's not) and putting All his pent up emotions into it. All that anxiety, frustration, and everything else. Maybe even to the point there's actual tears? And to whoever overhears it (for, probably gay, reasons, maybe one of the main 5? but also I'm open to pretty much anyone), at first they're just like "ah, ok, California's just singing" but then they realize that no, shit, that's some intense emotions being had there.

Cali's just so... tired of being alone. And tired of being used and then thrown away when he's no longer needed.

What happens after he's overheard? no clue. Do they approach Cali with concern or comfort. Leave him thinking he's alone? Will someone give this poor boy a hug Please.

On another note. The Pants Song has big Florida and Loui vibes and I'm Living for it.
