It's midnight and inspiration (and some dialog from lesson 22 that I just remembered) has hit me like a frickin truck I needed to write all of this down ASAP and ended up with another extremely delirious and messy story that I hope you enjoy. (I feel like a madman)

(Also expect a whole mess of long and short stories in the future as I try to figure out how detailed I want some stories to be-)

Being the heir to the throne wasn't easy. Not that anyone said it would be. Diavolo tried his best to fix the damage his father did while he was still in charge. Diavolo's mission was to have the three worlds live together in harmony. He worked almost all day and night to bring peace to the three worlds. It was tiring at times, but Diavolo knew it would be worth it.

Once you arrived in Devildom, you changed everything. The moment he laid eyes on you,
his heart skipped a beat and his cheeks grew warm. It was quite an odd feeling he hadn't truly experienced before.

What was this tight feeling in his chest? He suspected it was fascination, but he couldn't help but fear it was something completely different. Something bigger...

And as the months went by, his fears came true. The closer you two got, the more these feelings would surface. It wasn't too difficult to hide them at first, but with every smile, every touch, every time he saw your beautiful eyes...he couldn't help but fall in love. Something about you brought him so much peace and comfort, he wanted to keep you all to himself.

But he couldn't tell you. He was too scared that he'd drive you away, or wouldn't share the same feelings. All he could do was love you from afar...and it hurt. It hurt seeing you get so close to the brothers because he too wanted that. He wanted to be able to be at your side whenever he could but his royal duties would always get in the way.

So instead, he worked his hardest to make Devildom a safe place for you and always checked in to make sure you were doing okay. Without realizing it, you became his muse.

All too soon you had to leave Devildom, and it completely crushed his spirits. Of course, he couldn't show that to anyone, he was the student council president and crowned prince...he needed to be strong for everyone. But on the inside, he felt like dying. He couldn't even tell you how he felt towards you before you left...and it ate him up.

Diavolo of course knew it wouldn't be the last time he'd see you, but he couldn't help but long for you. He missed seeing your face and having you around whenever he was stressed. As months passed on, things were getting grey, but Diavolo still pushed on. Barbatos noticed Diavolo's change in mood and began to worry about him a bit.

"Young master, are you alright? Your mind seems to be...elsewhere." Barbatos said.

"Ah...how can you tell?" Diavolo asked sheepishly.

"Hm...." Barbatos picked up a paper Diavolo was writing on and examined it with curiosity. It was covered in doodles that reminded Diavolo of you.

"Just call it a hunch..." Barbatos lightly teased as he showed Diavolo the drawings.

Diavolo's cheeks were dusted with a rosy color, he didn't even realize what he was doing until Barbatos pointed it out. He chuckled nervously as he took the paper back from Barbatos.

"I'm finding it rather difficult to focus on anything after Y/n went back to the human world. Not feeling their presence around is...strange to say the least." Diavolo tried explaining.
