ALEX POV
It's been an hour since we departed. We are using a seven seater modified Mercedez benz UNIMOG U5000 Wagon. The car is bulletproof and very tough.
Beside me is Ice, while Kuya Mike and Lyka sat at the back. Gusto ko sanang nasa harap si Kuya Mike para maituro nya ng maayos ang daan, kaso parang allergic sa isa't isa sina Ice at Lyka. Why do i feel that they have a silent war?
"Guys get ready, we will rush to the place without stopping. Help me clear the road!" I asked. We need to move fast, the sun is setting.
Lyka woke up from her sleep and opened the window yawning.
"Kuya Mike, anong pinakamabilis na daan papunta doon? Any shortcut?" I asked frowning.
"Doon tayo dumaan sa may park, tapos ikot tayo sa harap ng elementary school---"
I looked at the rearview mirror to know why he stopped talking. Lyka raised her brow at napatingin din dito.
"U-Uh sa iba na lang tayo dumaan" kinakabahang sagot nito.
"Why?" I asked shortly.
He breathe in and out and answered. "Maraming zombies don..."
I looked at his painful expression. A very gruesome picture flashed into my mind. "I understand. But we need to...."
Lyka looked at me is question. Napailing nalang ako. "It's okay, kuya Mike"
Kuya mike looked at me in surprise while his eyes and body trembled. Lyka frowned and looked at me again. I rolled my eyes at her. Minsan iniisip ko kung matalino ba talaga ang kaibigan kong 'to. Minsan sobrang slow.
"Clear the road, I will drive faster!"
"Okay"
They shot simultaneously making a group of zombies ahead fell down and died. I saw kuya Mike look at Lyka and Ice in amazement. I smiled proudly, kahit hindi naman ako ang bumaril.
"Another group at the intersection. I'll give you 5 seconds!" I ordered.
Lyka raised her gun, but before she can shoot. Ice spikes suddenly appeared below their soles making them immobile and die on the spot.
"Dang! That's so cool!" I exclaimed and looked at Ice.
Ice looked at me blankly.
but why do i feel that he's boasting, when he looked at me?
"Tsk. Pasikat"
"Lyka!" i reprimanded her.
Minsan lang mag kusa ang bloke ng yelo na 'to, mapupurnada pa.
"Whatever" she replied. Nagkatinginan na lang kami ni Kuya Mike at napailing. Parang bata, buti nalang hindi pumapatol si Ice.
However i spoke too soon.
"Say's by someone who can only shoot guns. If you're great, try awakening an ability before you speak"
I looked at him in shock.
I looked at Lyka nervously.
"You!" She pointed at him. "Just wait" She glared and stopped speaking.
My mouth turned 'O' when Lyka calmed down. I can't believe she can take that and be silent. Magugunaw na ba ang mundo?
Yeah. It's end of the world.
