kourtney, ashlyn and nini all entered salt lake slices. making their way towards the only group of people who were sitting at the furthest table.

"the icons have arrived." ashlyn exclaims dramatically, an eye-roll unnoticeable in the corner of the booth at the sight of the brunette girl

nini put the bags down on another chair while ashlyn and kourtney sat down at the table next to gina who was apparently having a stare off with carlos.

"what happened?" kourtney asks confused

"we're having a staring contest." seb explains

nini raises her eyebrows "and how did we end up with that?"

"you don't wanna know," ej interrupts tiredly

the girl nodded before rolling her eyes when she caught sight of the familiar curly-haired boy who was seated on the other side of ej, a smirk on his face.

"how are you neens?" he asked, knowing it would step on her toes.

nini could've sworn she subconsciously threw up a little when he said that, disgust on her face as she sat down the furthest she could from him.

"don't call me that richard." she snapped, folding her arms

"here we go," ashlyn mumbled, everyone sighing

"okay, both of you, can we keep the arguing and tension to a minimum?" kourtney asked them

"he started it." nini argued

"didn't know this was a middle school argument neens." ricky says, failing to hide his smirk as he looked right at her.

nini glared at the boy before they heard footsteps from behind them

"you blinked!" carlos exclaimed, pointing as gina looked away from big red who was arriving with food

gina groans "i looked away! there's a difference."

"you blinked gi," ej chuckled

"well, there's food so i don't care anymore," gina sighed, everyone shaking their heads with a light chuckle

"alright!" big red's voice boomed through the empty restaurant as he held two platters of pizza "so here's pepperoni and vegetarian,"

he places the platters on the table and sits down, everyone taking a slice

nini reached for a slice, but just as she made contact with it, ricky's hand was on the other side of the same one.

nini groaned in annoyance "i got it first, go get another slice."

"but i wanted this one." he said simply, pulling to take it.

"ever heard the term ladies first?" she questioned him, pulling the slice back

"you hardly classify as one-"

nini scoffs "how original."

carlos opens his mouth "why don't you just-split it?"

"no." the two snap in unison.

ricky and nini both glare at each other, the entire group sighing in frustration, though they didn't know why it surprised them much. the two hated each other for as long as they could remember. nothing was going to change that...
