soobin rushed around his work place, delivering food and drinks, a huge smile on his face. he greeted people as they came into the restaurant, he made sure to get every order correct, he was just having the best time of his life.
he stepped into the kitchen with new orders ready to be made and placed the notes on the stand.
"you seem very happy today. why? got a date?" yunho teased the younger as he started cooking the food. soobin let out a giggle, can't keep containing his excitement.
"i do actually." he said smiling, not caring hoe sore his cheeks were starting to get. "ooo~ who is he?" yunho pressed, flipping the pan.
"his name is daniel. i met him from our schools pen pal exchange and we've talked non stop and he's finally in korea."
"damn boy you're whipped for this guy. you better bring him here one day so i can see if he's fit for my son." yunho joked. soobin hit his arm slightly before leaving the kitchen to tend to more customers.
soobin couldn't deny yunhos words. he knew he was whipped for daniel but he's the first person who ever treated soobin like this plus he's the first person soobins ever liked so if daniel is just playing him then he'll just blame himself for being so easy to trick.
the clock above the counter struck six pm which meant soobins shift was over. he quickly rushed into the back room and grabbed the clothes he picked out for the date and went into the staffs bathroom to change.
"woah soobin. who you dolled up for?" hyunsuk asked soobin as he left the bathroom.
"i have a date soon."
"well whoever they are are hella lucky. especially once they see you in leather skinnys."
soobin laughed at the youngers compliment. "beomgyu said i should wear them for today but they're awfully tight." he spoke, trying to loosen the tightness. "they make your ass look great." bomin said, pretending to slap his butt.
soobin received a text message from daniel saying he was right outside. soobin felt his heartbeat speed up as he put on his coat and grabbed his school bag.
"good luck. i hope you score afterwards." hyunsuk said with a wink. "yeah and don't forget protection." bomin added. soobin ran out of the break room with a red face, hearing the two males laughter before he left the restaurant.
"woah." daniel said once he saw soobin.
"h-hi." the taller stuttered. "do you wear this sort of clothes often?" daniel asked, looking soobin up and down. the other shook his head, an obvious blush on his face.
"well you definitely should." he flirted with a wink, opening the passengers door for the younger. "oh so you're driving? do you know the way?" soobin asked as he sat down, daniel buckling him in. "why of course. i asked you out so i should be the one to drive you to the restaurant." the elder replied cockily, getting into the drivers side. "the restaurant that i picked."
"shup."
daniel put the address of the restaurant into his phones gps app and drove off.
"if you work at a restaurant why chose a different one?" daniel asked, glancing at the younger. "because this is still your first day in korea and honestly my coworkers are so embarrassing that i'm not ready to have a date there just yet but they do want to meet you just maybe after awhile." soobin explained, kinda embarrassed just thinking about it.
"well i'm not gonna force you to step out of your comfort zone so take all the time you need baby." he reassured the other, grabbing his hand and rubbing the back of it with his thumb. good thing the car was an automatic or the drivers behind them would've gotten mad.
they arrived at the restaurant, daniel parking and getting out of the car first to quickly go around and open the door at soobins side.
"why thank you daniel." soobin thanked, patting the elders cheek.
they entered the restaurant, daniel doing the same thing though still being unable to speak or understand korean, soobin was the one who did all the talking.
"name?" the receptionist asked. "yes under choi." soobin replied, daniel just looking around the fancy restaurant.
"daniel come on."
daniel spotted a waitress and soobin walk towards a table, walking right behind them.
soobin sat down at the table, daniel sitting first after him. "please have a look at our drinks and if you request an alcoholic beverage, please have your id ready. i'll be back over in a few." the lady spoke kindly, placing their menus in front of them before walking away.
"what did she say?"
"she told us to look at what drinks we want and have our id ready if it's alcohol." soobin translated, opening his menu. "oh right. what is the legal age over here? is it like america?" daniel asked, squinting at the menu.
"the legal age here is nineteen but i still have a years to go before i'm twenty but i do have my id if you want to order one. i'll drive us home." daniel nodded, taking out his id though still having trouble with the drink menu. soobin noticed this and laughed.
"just tell me what drink you want and i'll tell her. i'm sorry that this place doesn't have a translated version."
"no it's alright. with your help i'll be able to understand it soon."
the two got their drinks and soobin talked daniel through the menu, telling him all the different kinds of foods and explained what's in them.
the waitress came and took their order before leaving and letting the two boys talk.
"can i be honest?" soobin started, face growing red. "yeah what's up?"
"when i first heard that my teachers son would be moving here and would become my step brother i hated it but i put up with it to make my mom happy. but this morning she told me i would be meeting his son at the airport and would arrive the same time as you so i kinda thought you were mr choi's son and felt sad that we would be step brothers." soobin confessed, covering his red face with his glass of water.
he was expecting daniel to get mad for being confused with the guy he hates but he didn't expect the older to burst out laughing, getting a few couples attention.
"what's so funny?"
daniel came down from his laughing fit, taking a drink of his sake and beer mix.
"you're just so adorable. plus even if that assholes dad was my dad, it's be fine. i cut all ties with mine so you wouldn't have to worry about us being step bros." daniel half joked with a wink.
"daniel!" soobin whispered yelled, covering his whole face with his hands.
