DESCIPTION In which the mayor falls for his best friend

In which Devinity doesn't want to be the mayor's emotional crutch anymore
SUMMARY Devinity Norman and Paul Randolf had been by the hip ever since they were children.
Through thick and thin the two never left eachothers sides but throughout time, Devinity fell for the pearl white smiling man.
But over and over Devinity felt her heart get broken, when she told her best friend her feelings and realizing that she was nothing but an emotional crutch for him so she eventually fell out of love with him.
Moving out of town for college, graduating at the top of her class and working in New York for a few years and adopting a girl was just the thing she needed to get over him.
Going to journalism school wasn't something she expected to do. After winning a Pulitzer for her exposè the girl returns to her home town and decides to work at the Welsbury Newspaper.
The last thing Paul Randolph expected was to fall for his best friend after not seeing her for almost ten years.

- she adopted her daughter five years ago ( the daughter is 15 turning 16 )
- she has a ex boyfriend who's a british journalist, played by Ben Barnes, the two worked together on a paper
- you can choose his name (ryan is a place holder )
- ryan comes to Welsbury ( you can choose the reason why )
- this will put Devinity in a love triangle
- PLEASE CHANGE THE NAME OF THE WELSBURY NEWSPAPER ( she becomes the lead editor )
- her and georgia will have the beat friendship
- ginny and austin think of Devinity as a mother figure
- Devinity was also good friends with Joe and kept in touch with him while she was in New York
- she hates Cynthia
- Devinity is a sarcastic badass
- when Kennh died she was on a work trip in Houston and was asked to write the article on his death
- eventually Gabriel asks her for help investigating Georgia but declined and warns Georgia
- her and her daughter are extremely close
- she is protective over Devinity so doesn't let Paul into her life that easily
- Devinity had forgiven him although it took time.
- it takes time for the friendship to be fixed
