24. Slime

Fifth Year:

Teddy and James went back downstairs, and I changed my clothes since I was still in my pajamas.

I put on black sweat pants and a red t-shirt before joining the others.

It was my turn to give presents. So I gave everyone one each before sitting down.

Hugo was the first to open. "Cool!" He took out the t-shirt from it's box. "Thank you Lily, I love it!"

"You're welcome."

It had a muggle band name printed on it, the one that Hugo was currently obsessed with. It wasn't that hard to find.

Roxanne opened her present next.

She told me two months ago that she didn't want anything fancy. So I bought her a hair dryer. It was a different model that makes the hair go straight.

I should probably buy another one for myself.

"Aww, thank you Lils, I needed one." She gave me a hug and I smiled.

And now, the best part.

It was Teddy's turn.

"Open it." I said with excitement.

He opened the blue box and took out the book.

"A DADA book for third grade? Uhm, thanks Lily." He tried to smile, but I knew it was fake.

I got up and sat on the floor next to him. "Look inside."

He gave me a questioning look and opened the first page.

To Teddy,

I hope you like your present, it's my favourite book so far.

He was quiet for a while, just staring to the writing. "Is this..."

"Real." I answered.

His finger tips slowly touched the writing before he skimmed the pages one by one.

Until it found the famous page.

He started reading it.

"Werewolves: They are handsome, smart and kind. Such as Remus John Lupin, who was one of the best professors at 'Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardy'. He was known as one of the kindest, smartest, friendliest professor who also had a weird love to chocolate.

He was the first werewolf to have control of himself during the full moon, with his friends help, who called themselves The Marauders

The room was quiet, eveyyone was around us, reading the page.

"How did you..." Teddy couldn't finish his sentence and stared to the page.

"Well, I have my own ways of-" I couldn't finish when Teddy hugged me.

"Thank you Lils, this is the best present ever."

I patted his back. "I'm glad you liked it."

Everyone opened their presents, we laughed, talked, and ate some of the candy Luna bought for Albus.
