"We have all night."

It's something I've been curious about since she expressed her lifestyle to me those many nights ago when we met in person. Eureka's choice to refrain from having meat, stick to a plant-based diet. She still incorporates seafood. There's nothing wrong with not eating meat. From what I've gathered, there must be a particular story behind her choice. Which I'm curious about.

Like I told Eureka, I'm interested in learning everything about her. She's still quiet. I continue washing the dirty dishes from our dinner. Only the utensils and the pots used are left. We're almost finished.

Eureka takes the forks and knives I hand her, drying them carefully. She's been a great help. Doing something so domestic with her is like looking into what our future may be like. Actually not may, will be like.

"Detka you don't have to dry the pots just put them in the dishwasher so they can drip dry."

She nods, as I give her the first pot. We only used two to prepare dinner. Eureka turns it upside down and gets ready while I rinse the last one.

"Here baby. Thank you for helping."

She takes it putting it away. Closing the dishwasher Eureka comes beside me folding the dish towel. I clean out any remanence of food from the sink, wipe up the wet areas around it. Eureka lays out the cloth on the handle of the dishwasher so it can air dry.

"Are you ready for our bath?"

"Yeah but let's take a shower first so we're not soaking in our dirt."

"Of course."

"Long story short, I stopped eating meat because of this documentary I watched three years ago with a cousin of mine. She stumbled upon it by accident and showed it to me when I went to visit her in Jamaica, the summer of that year. Ever since I couldn't really stomach eating meat, so I made the transition a few months later." Eureka suddenly explains.

"Thanks for sharing with me. I totally respect your decision baby. You don't have to change your lifestyle for me. Okay. "

Eureka just nods taking my hand as we head upstairs. I stop by the toiletry closet beside my room, getting towels for each of us. Eureka takes one. "Thank you. Oh, by the way, the scrub I ordered, arrives early next week."

"Okay. Can I borrow yours again?"

"Sure." She answers.

Once in the bedroom, Eureka goes to her duffle bag, pulling out some things. I wait for her. She comes carrying a brown jar, a wide teeth comb, and a clear thin shower cap. The ones that aren't reusable.

"What are those for?"

"To co-wash my hair."
