My eyes widened.

Oh my god.

I cannot believe I just did that! I-I kissed Keefe. I thought we were just friends to him, because he always seemed sad when someone talked about home, so I thought maybe his heart was somewhere else, and yet, I still kissed him. I'm such an idiot. So, naturally, I stammered a,

"I'm-I'm so sorry! I-I don't know what I-I was thinking!" And ran away. I mean, what else would I do? I ran to the only place I could think to go. Biana's room. I ran in, tears flowing down my cheeks, and Biana answered the door, saying,

"Hey Soph. What's up-"

She quickly rushed me inside as she saw my tears and I cried into her shoulder. When my cries faded into slight sniffles and hiccups, Biana asked me what was wrong. That just started up my cries again. Biana patted my back, quietly

"Shhhhh, shhhhhh, it's ok Sophie. Calm down."

I hiccuped and took a deep breath.

"I, I kissed-"

Biana squealed. "WHAT? WHEN? WHO?"

"Ke-"

Then it hit. Screams echoed through the castle, gunshots raining on glass. A few bullets actually hit Biana's window, and we ducked and screamed. I shouted at Biana to get down, and stop covering me, but she ignored me. I dragged her up and ran out of the room, down the hallway. I dragged her down to the library. I quickly walked behind a bookshelf in the back of the library and counted 9 bricks over and 5 bricks up. I tapped the brick 3 times and a metal panel came out. Biana gripped my arm, saying,

"Ummm, Soph...? That is?"

I quickly typed in the code.

756983

A bullet proof metal door slowly emerged from the wall. I was so focused on opening up the safe room, that I didn't notice what Biana's sharp intake of breath was about. She tugged my arms as her lip trembled.

"Soph."

I didn't answer.

"Sophie! The rebels are right there!"

I pushed Biana inside and jumped in right behind her, and heard the sound of bullets peppering the door. I cursed slightly. They knew where this safe room was. Biana shuddered and whimpered slightly. I wrapped an arm around her and she rested her head against my shoulder. And now we wait.
