two days
two whole days since you've woken up george,
what happened to you?— what was happening in general
i honestly don't know

my face buried into my hands,
sighing in frustration at the sight of you in the nursing rooms bed
footsteps behind me caused me to lift my head and turn around, eyeing down nick, karl and wilbur
all three of them looked concerned but not in the way i was

" how is he?" nick asks me,
i didn't reply to him— giving all three of them a stare down
" look— we're sorry dre— i mean clay"

"are you though?— "
a cold noticeable tone escapes my lips

wilbur looked at nick and gave the side head signal towards my direction,
nick places a hand onto his hip while rubbing the back of his neck with the other
" I'M sorry.. for pressuring you when you were already under a lot of stress—"

karl elbows him to keep going causing nick to let out a small grunt,
"a-and i'm sorry for accusing george "

no other words were exchanged,
just the sounds of the wind singing outside and the sound of leaves dancing from the ground to the sky
after a couple minutes of silence— my body got up from the chair i was sitting in and walked over to all of them

" or you can just you know— say you were right and we're terrible friends— "
i didn't let nick finish his sentence, instead i wrapped my arms around him

"i know you guys's are just looking out for me— there is nothing you guys need to apologize for "
my voice breaking and my body trembled as i held my friend

his arms wrap around me after a couple of seconds, wilbur and karl soon joining in

bittersweet tears were shed— there's nothing that mattered to me more than making sure the people i love and care about were okay

all of us were walking down to the courtyard to check on the townspeople,
that is.. if it wasn't for the screams and cries that echoed throughout the entrance

"MARED DEFENSE STANCES NOW!" i screamed as i grabbed a double sided axe from and armor stand and ran towards the entrance
my three friends all grabbing their weapons and following behind

my satin velvet robe flying through the air, keeping up with my sprint
my dirty blonde locks doing the same
until i reached the front entrance of the castle,
immediately stopping in my tracks

the robe that once collided with the wind— was now hanging lifelessly off my shoulders,
my dirty blonde hair scattered in all places but no longer moving with my pace

the sight outside was brutal and chaotic,
blood running cold through my veins, eyes widened, heart nearly beating out of my chest, stomach filled with anxiousness

dead bodies scattered all over the floor,
blood painting the once dark green grass
the skies painted with grey, the trees, bushes and remainder of the towns buildings being consumed by flames once more
