"Made it." Dustin sighed, gripping his backpack straps as he looks out to Hawkins.

Flopping onto the grass, I dropped the duffel bag I had been holding for three hours straight, letting out a sigh of relief when we reached the top, wiping the sweat off my forehead.

"Yeah," Max pants, dropping her bag next to me. "it only took five hours."

"Why couldn't we just play D&D?" Will grumbles.

"I'm so thirsty." Lucas says, quickly removing his backpack, pulling out the canteen of water.

Lifting it up, he quickly downs the water, Max pinching her eyebrows as she stares at him, glaring daggers in his direction.

"Did you seriously just drink the rest of our water?" Max asked, disappointment laced in her voice.

"Oh, come on, Lucas," I sighed, sitting up. "I wanted some."

Smiling, he spit the access water into the jug, holding it out to me, slightly shrugging his shoulders.

Shaking my head, I get up to my feet, seeing Dustin and Will begin to set up Cerebro.

Grabbing the wire, I place it around the poles as well as setting up a satellite at the top, pulling the completed product up once we finish assembling it.

The sun had begun to set once we finished setting up, Dustin looking up at Cerebro with his arms held out.

"Pretty impressive, right?" He asked us.

"Yeah." I nod, getting a good look at it while standing next to Max.

"Now," Dustin says, turning to face us. "you ready to meet my love?"

"Okay," Max nodded, crossing her arms. "sure."

"Yeah." Will said.

Dustin flopped to the ground next to the small box where the radio sat, picking it up, he clicked it on, giving us a look before he pulls it closer to his mouth.

"Suzie, this is Dustin. Do you copy? Over."

The static on the radio hissed, indicating no one was on the other side, crossing my arms and sighing, I knew we were going to be here for a while.

"One sec." Dustin says to us, pointing at the radio, optimistically. "She's probably... She's still there."

"Suzie... this is Dustin. Do you copy? Over."

Looking up at us once more, he sighed, knowing he wouldn't get anywhere for a while.

"I'm sure she's there." He nods. "It's just—"

"Yeah." Lucas nods.

"You know, maybe she's, like, busy or—"

"Yeah." I nod, trying to be as positive as possible for him.

"It's around dinnertime." Dustin shrugged, looking at us as we sympathetically agreed with him. "Here."

"Yep." Max nodded, crossing her arms.

"Mmm." Lucas hummed in agreement, pulling his lips into a thin line.

"Suzie, do you copy? This is Dustin. Over."

No response came, the static hissing once again.

"Suzie, do you copy? This is Dustin. Over."

Laying on my back, I stare at the stars, seeing the sun had set and we were still on the hill, Dustin pausing his talking every so often to crack his back.

"Suzie... do you copy? This is Dustin. Over." Dustin sighed once he was met by static again.

Looking over at Max, she rolls her eyes, knowing this could take forever.
