________________________________

I used to hate poems initially.

Poems seemed to be a dramatic, unnecessary medium of expression, and I was more into stories and novels.

I was in my early teens when I realised how beautiful poetry is, and how it was, by far, the best way to give vent to my feelings (I'm socially awkward, you know...). I started writing poetry when I was thirteen, and since then, the magic of weaving words into something more has had me entranced.

My thought processes have changed quite a lot over the years, and many of the things that used to make me happy or sad earlier fail to evoke similar emotions anymore. But over the years, one thing has never faded away, but has only grown...and that is my penchant for writing poetry.
