Amelia and Cedric had gotten all packed and ready to go back to school. This was the year they would really have to decide what they wanted to do for the rest of their life. Amelia couldn't help but feel nervous that this was her last year at Hogwarts. She had always loved Hogwarts and leaving it and branching into a new chapter of her life was scary for her. She carefully picked up her trunk and all of the students in the order filed towards the train station. Half way through Cedric ended up taking the girls trunk when she thought she had saw a Flobberworm in one of the bushes nearby. It turns out it was a Flobberworm and so the girl carefully picked it up and studied it for a few moments. She then put it back down and it swiveled away back into the dirt and the kids all walked into the train station.
"You ready?" Cedric asked the girl as he handed the girl her trunk and then Amelia gave him a small nod and a smile. The two held each other's hand and then peacefully walked through the passageway to 9 3/4. The train was making loud cho cho noises and there were students all around. Amelia couldn't help but notice that there had been less students then there was the following year and she already knew why. Amelia and Cedric boarded the train and the couple passed a compartment with Patrick and Paul messing around. "You can go with them I'm gonna go find Luna!" Amelia said and Cedric gave her a quick kiss on the side of the head and then whispered a quick goodbye and then joined his two other friends who were sending hexes towards each other.
Amelia stalked down the passage looking for one of her bestfriends. She then turned and there Luna sat reading the Quibbler alongside Neville Longbottom. Amelia opened the compartment door and Luna put down the magazine for a moment and smiled at the girl. "Amelia I missed you oh so much!" Luna said and then stood up and hugged Amelia. "I missed you too!" Amelia said. The two then sat down and Amelia sat across from Neville Longbottom. She looked at the cactus like plant that he was holding. He was carefully dropping small amounts of water onto the plant and it made small smiles as he did this.
"Do you like herbology?" Amelia asked the boy and he quickly nodded his head. "I love it!" He said cheerfully. "I'm not the best at herbology so Neville was explaining some types of plants to me and what each plant does" Luna states and Amelia looked at the boy in curiously. "Plants were never my strong suit either" Amelia says and Luna hands her the quibbler. The front page headlines are all about you know who's return. Amelia skims through it and she couldn't help but feel sorta upset that Cedric's name was being dragged into it. She knew the boy had a lot on his mind at all times so she defiantly didn't want him to see this article.
"Luna are you done reading this?" Amelia asked fishing her wand from her pocket. "Yes I am you can get rid of it if you like" Luna says and then Amelia quickly says "incendio" and the paper begins to burn all the way up until there is just ash on the floor of the compartment. "Sorry I do admire your fathers work he is very talented but I do not wish for Cedric to see the article and then feel upset by what is written about him." Amelia says and Luna nods her head understandably.
The rest of the train ride goes by rather quick. The castle appears and Amelia quickly changes into her clothes along with Luna and Neville. The three get off the train together and carefully get into one of the wagons to get into the school. They load into one and Neville holds his plant closely to him as if he's protecting it. Amelia quickly takes her Pigmy Puff out of its cage and holds it in her hands and softly lets it. Luna who is beside her also begins to stroke the Puff. "What do you feed the little guy?" Luna asks and Amelia pets the Puff a couple more times. "He really loves carrots so a lot of those!"
Three other student walk from on to the carriage. "Hello Hermione, Ron, and Harry" Amelia says and Ron gives a slight eye roll. He had always thought the girl was a tad strange but he did blush whenever she spoke to him which always caused Harry to laugh quietly. "Hello Amelia is Cedric already in?" Hermione asks and she sits down closely next to Ron who is now blushing as he makes eye contact with Amelia. "I believe so he went in with a couple of his friends!" The three nod their heads.
Luna stares at the three. Amelia catches this and quickly introduces her to the group. "This is my good friend Luna Lovegood" Amelia says and the three nod their heads. It seemed as though they had all heard how strange the girl was and they though how it made sense why Amelia and Luna were good friends. "Nice to meet you" Harry said and Luna only nodded her head. The three then look away as to diffuse the awkward tension in the air. Neville stays still trying to find something to do for his plant which is moving in the pot almost looking like it was dancing.
The wagon then starts to move up towards the castle and the Hogwarts bright lights can be seen. Amelia smiles up at the school. She loved Hogwarts very much and missed it throughout the summer. She hoped Cedric was doing okay as they hadn't spent this much time apart in a while even though it had only been a couple hours without seeing one another.
The wagon stops and Amelia quickly jumps out of the wagon and grabs her luggage. She helps Luna out of it as well and together the two walk into the castle and towards their dormitories quickly separating from one another to put their luggage away. "Millie!" Cedric screams but Amelia was to far in front of him for her to hear him over all of the gossiping students. All of the students give Cedric a rather odd look as he runs through the hallway. Half of the looks are because he is running and calling Amelia's name and the other is because of what happened last year.
Amelia quickly tickles the fruit on a portrait that is in front of her. The portrait then opens and there is the Hufflepuff common room. The common room is filled with students and Amelia walks towards the stairs. Cedric gives one last call towards Amelia but she still didn't hear him. Amelia puts her luggage by her bed and she noticed Maxine, Molly, and Kendra had already put their luggage down and had left the room. She then walks back out of the room and down the steps.
Cedric is at the end waiting for the girl. "I was calling for you!" Cedric said smiling and Amelia smacks her head. "I'm sorry I do have terrible hearing!" and Cedric laughs. "You wanna head towards the feast together?" He asks and Amelia smiles and nods. The two then leave the common room and past all of the students. Amelia feels Cedrics hand tighten at times when people start to look at him. Amelia gives him a small smile and he relaxes.
They do however pass a lady in the hall who stops in front of them. "Separate this is PDA and I do not accept that" she says sternly. Amelia quickly lets go of Cedrics hand and then Cedric firmly grabs it again. "I'm gonna hold her hand if I want too" Cedric says aggravated. "Do we need to take points from your house already?" The lady says and squints her wrinkly eyes at Cedric. "Who even are you?" Cedric asks matching her tone. "You will know soon enough" she says and then walks away and then hollers "10 points from Hufflepuff" Cedric seems to be aggravated by the lady and Amelia quickly calms him down. "You're smart you'll make up the points" Amelia says and grabs the boys hand once again and they both head towards the great feast.
