Malina's dress ^^^

Tom and Malina haven't talked for days. Ever since that night, Malina couldn't wait for the holiday to be over and to get Riddle out of her life for good.

Ivan had returned home the next morning and didn't even bother to ask what happened between the two. She spent the rest of her time with Ivan, not even glancing at Tom when he walked by.

The day of the Rosier ball had arrived and Ivan's parents returned home. His mother and father had a lot of stories to tell her about her own parents. Stories that went back to their time at Hogwarts. She spent most of the day listening to their old memories, mesmerized by how her parents once lived.

"You look greatly like your mother." Elizabeth Rosier said, showing Malina her grand closet. She took out different gowns, searching for the perfect one for Malina to wear.

"She was very beautiful, had all the Hogwarts boys at her feet." She chuckled. She had five gowns in her hands, many of different colours.

"Here, try these on." She gave Malina the gowns and left the closet, leaving Malina alone with all the expsensive clothes and jewelry. The Rosier family sure had great taste.

Many gowns were too big for her and many too embarrassing to wear. She pulled out the last dress, black leaves clung to the dark fabric and it formed a v-neckline, showing her top upper chest.

The gown was gorgeous as it flowed on to the ground. She instantly tried it on, desperate to see it on her.

It was perfect. It fit snug around her hips and clung tightly to her waist. The bottom of the dress roamed on the ground, trailing so delicately behind her. She stared at herself in the mirror, Malina looked like a goddess. A smile rose to her lips, she gave a little twirl and her smile grew wider and the dress flowed underneath her.

A gasp came from behind her. Elizabeth stood with her hand over her mouth.

"Malina, you look stunning." She said, coming toward Malina and fiddling around with the fabric. Her gaze reached Malina's eyes and she went behind her, they both stared in the mirror together.

"All eyes will be on you tonight, you will be glowing!" She said with excitement.

Both girls spent the rest of the night getting ready together. Helping each other with their makeup and hair. Elizabeth leant her some of her jewelry, that consisted of a diamond neckless, earrings and a bracelet.

The girls laughed as they were getting ready, both treating each other as the mother and daughter they never had.

Guests gathered in the Grand hall, chatting and drinking champagne and whiskey. Ivan offered to attend the ball together and she accepted, for she did not want to be all alone.

She learned from last night that none of her group would be coming because their parents had important business in the south. Leaving Malina alone with Tom and his followers.

She stepped out of the room, her dress trailing behind her. She took deep breaths as she made her way down the staircase.

All eyes fell to her as she guided herself along the steps. Her mind begging her not to trip. Her brown hair fell on her shoulders, bouncing as she took each step. Her lips painted a crimson red, making her feel more powerful.

Her eyes swept across the room, eyes full of curiosity, hatred and lust stared at her. Then her gaze snagged on one particular pair. Her breath caught in her throat. Why does he always have to look so perfect.

His stare sent shivers coursing through her body. She felt like he was drinking all of her in and he was dying of thirst. He never tore his gaze away, even when Malina redirected hers toward Ivan's.

"You look incredibly beautiful." Ivan whispered in her ear. She smiled up to him and he returned the gesture back, a dimple appearing on the left side of his mouth.

They walked into the Ball room together. Malina grabbed a glass of champagne on one of the waiters trays that passed by.

The sip was expsensive and bubbled as it went down.

Ivan pulled her toward the group of Slytherin boys, who already seemed to have way too many drinks. She sat down beside Ivan and Marcus who was playing with the rim of his glass.

"Look who's here." Abraxas said. "I'm surprised Tom even let you come." You snorted, spilling his drink in the process.

"Malfoy, zip it." Ivan said, helping his friend clean up the spill.

"It's good to see you too, Malfoy." She rolled her eyes at his childish behavior.

"How long are you staying her for?" Marcus asked from beside her. His eyes fully trained on her.

"I'm staying here for the full holiday, Ivan invited me to stay." Ivan nodded and continued to clean up the mess.

"And Riddle put up with you? He must be really starting to like you." Abraxas stated once more.

Ivan hit him hard, sending the boy back on his chair. Abraxas got up and launched at the boy, but his aim was way off and jumped on the table instead.

The boys began to fight. Well mostly Abraxas, Ivan just tried to get out of his reach.

"That's enough, Malfoy." A voice said from behind the group.

She winced as she felt the presence of a familiar Slytherin.

"I hope you enjoyed making a fool out of yourself." Tom gritted out, now sitting in the empty seat.

Ivan took this time to get away from Riddle, not wanting to get a lecture in front of his guests.

"Malina, would you like to dance." He extended his hand toward her and she smiled. She took it and he lead her to the middle of the room, joining the other dancing partners.

They began to waltz, twirling and spinning together. Laughing as they watched others stepping on each others feet.

The other boys joined them with girls she had never seen before, they laughed as well. Bumping into older men and women, getting nasty glares from them.

Tom stayed behind, talking to men in the far corner. She watched him, knowing he had something planned. His gaze met hers, and he watched her being guided around the floor, Ivan holding her close to him.

She left his stare when Ivan said he would go and get more drinks. She made her way back to the table and thanked Ivan when he brought them back.

She didn't know how many drinks she had, but her brain started to fog and her words started to slur.

Most of the boys were passed out on the chairs, leaving Malina alone to down more alcohol in her throat.

The party had died down, and she decided to head for the garden. She stumbled and tripped on her way there, apologizing as she bumped into people.

She reached the nights air and walked toward the Rosier's rose bush. She sniffed each one, smiling how they welted at her touch.

A snap of a stick brought her out of her daze and a figure approached her. Before she could see who it was, her vison turned back and she fell into the darkness.
