What a day. Despite everything that happened, I feel lighter when Jace and I get out of the bath. With my hair still slightly wet, I walk out into the living area and notice thatJace has left a window open. I expect the cold air to hit me, but I'm surprised when I get a pleasant breeze instead. All of the happenings didn't even let me realise that Seattle is finally getting slightly warmer this spring. The evening already feels like a warm summer night. The hard days of winter are finally over and I get a sudden wave of adrenaline, little butterflies that let happy feelings erupt inside of me. Summer's loading, and I love every second of it.
Jace's arms wrapping around my waist from behind bring me back into reality. "What are you doing?" he asks me, kissing my bare shoulder, where his large t-shirt fell down slightly.
"Enjoying the weather. Looking forward to summer" I say, laying my arms over his and leaning myself back onto him.
"Me too" Jace starts. "I'll get to see you in a bikini" he adds, and I can feel him staring down at me with his smirk.
"Shut up" I say smiling, deciding to leave the window open.
Jace chuckles before leaving my embrace. "Let's go to bed babe. Big day tomorrow" he says, grabbing my hand to pull me along with him. Silently agreeing with him, I hop into bed and hope that I'll be able to sleep at all. My phone buzzes on the nightstand table before I can turn it into flight mode.
Hey Mila. Can I talk to you about something? I'm a little surprised to see a message from him, since we've never texted before.
Of course, anything I text back right away.
Do you think Bree's okay? I feel like I completely threw her off with the whole moving in thing. I just need to be sure it's what she wants. So, that's what this is about. I can't recall Bree acting weird about moving in with Austin, from what I could tell all she was extremely happy.
"Who is it?" Jace asks me, noticing I'm drawn to my phone.
"It's Austin. He's asking me about Bree" I answer, earning myself a nod from Jace. When she told me she was squealing her butt off. I honestly think she's over the moon, there's nothing you have to worry about I text Austin back.
It takes him only a few seconds to reply. Good, I'm glad to hear that. Thank you, Mila.
I tell him that he can talk to me anytime. Thinking the little talk with Austin is over, I lay my phone back on the nightstand table. Seconds later, it buzzes again.
I heard that a certain someone is also moving in with their boyfriend? ;) How are you feeling about that? Austin adds I smile at his message and his kindness to even ask me in the first place.
