"But you were unsuccessful?" Dolores Umbridge asks Severus Snape. "Obviously" Snape says clearly annoyed. Amelia quickly adds stuff to her potion. Large flames burst out of her cauldron and it bubbles intensely. "It doesn't seem as though you know how to teach your own students" Umbridge says watching Amelia struggle. Amelia quickly flips through her book trying to find the right thing to help her potion look like everyone else's in the class. Potions had always been hard for Amelia she was never very good at the intense and precise detailed direction that were in the book.
Snape watches Amelia and quickly walks over towards her. Dolores slowly walks towards the girl as well. "Take your spoon and stir counter clockwise six times and then turn clockwise twice and it should stop your bubbling Miss. Maplegrid." Snape says annoyed and Amelia takes a deep breath. "Well then" Dolores says and begins to walk away. Amelia feels a tinge of guilt when she looks at Snape's irritated face. She quickly thinks of something. "Professor I'd just like to say how remarkable of a teacher you are and how inclusive and obedient you keep this class not very many professors can do what you do and I admire you so much!" Amelia says and Snape gives her a look of confusion. Dolores turns around and looks at the girl.
"Very well then" she says and walks away writing on her clipboard. Snape walks away but Amelia thought she saw the teeny tiny smile creep across Snape's face before he quickly wiped it away and went back to his desk. Amelia struggled throughout the rest of the lesson even with the help from Snape. The lesson finally ended and Amelia was thankful that DADA was canceled for that day and she was finished. She quickly packed her things up and walked out of the classroom. She walked towards the kitchen and walked right in.
"Hello" Amelia greeted the house elves and they all sent warm smiles to the girl. "Miss. Amelia how are you?" Dobby the house elf walks up to the girl. "Hello Mr. Dobby, I've been doing great I came to see if you need any help with anything?" Amelia rocks back and forth examining the kitchen. There were house elves running all over. Some of them were flipping things over a huge fire some of them were doing the dishes and some of them were already putting food on dishes for the feast later that day.
"I do believe Amelia will not need to help us today but Dobby and the rest of the house elves like her offer" Dobby says and Amelia then remembers something. "I knitted this for you!" Amelia says pulling out a small blue sweater from her robe and hands it down to Dobby. Dobby looks at it astonished. "It is magnificent thank you very much Miss. Amelia." Dobby says and hugs the girls legs. Amelia bends down and hugs the elf as well and pats him on the head. "You are very cute Dobby" Amelia says and Dobby giggles. "Me cute? No way you are the one who is very cute" Dobby says and Amelia lightly laughs.
She then leaves the kitchen letting the house elves do what they need to do. She had joined Hermione's organization called S.P.E.W. She however was one of the only people who ended up joining the organization and the two knitted hats and placed them all around the common rooms in hopes that the elves would take them and then be set free and able to do whatever they want with their life.
Amelia walked through the halls of the castle. She then made her way out to the grounds of Hogwarts. The grass was slowly dying and the weather was getting colder. Amelia walked down towards the forbidden Forrest and start into it. She walked through the Forrest. Small animals could be heard running around and making noises. Amelia walked slowly through and then she came upon it. The pond was still there and the water was still as clear as it was at the beginning of the last year. Amelia stuck her feet into the pond. The water caused her to get the chills. It was absolutely freezing and there was no way she would be able to swim in the pond sadly.
She looked around the pond and suddenly a unicorn slowly made its way to the pond. Amelia sat straight up. She had never been so close to one before. She quickly took out her journal and a pen. The unicorn watched her. She wanted to copy down into her notes every action the unicorn did in case she were to look back at it after asking herself a question. The unicorn slowly bent down and took a sip of the water. Its head however snapped up and then the unicorn sprinted away. Amelia was confused as to why the unicorn had run away but then she saw why. A ton of huge spiders circled around her. "Hello I'm sorry I'll just go, I in no way am trying to harm any of you" Amelia said softly and picked up her journal.
The spiders didn't seem to even be listening and their long legs once again circled around her. Amelia couldn't help but feel a tad nervous as they did this. She slipped her wand out of her pocket and held it tightly. If she needed to defend herself she was ready.
All of a sudden one of the spiders made a move and jumped at Amelia. Amelia quickly yelled "stupefy" and the spider fell back. Then three more spiders made a jump for the girl and Amelia quickly shot spells at them. They all three stumbled back. Amelia was a talented wizard and she could defend herself. "Please I don't want to hurt you I can leave very quickly" Amelia says and then the spiders begin to retreat slowly. However all of a sudden Cedric jumps out of the tree line and shoots spells towards the spiders causing the spiders to get scared and start to attack the couple.
"Cedric no stop!" Amelia screamed and Cedric quickly grabbed the girls hand and the ran together out of the woods. The spiders trailer closely behind them. They were then suddenly on Hogwarts lands and the spiders were no where in sight. "Millie what were you thinking?" Cedric yelled and Amelia jumped. "I had it handled!" Amelia said in not a yell but more of a stern tone.
"Yeah right they were charging at you!" Cedric screamed and Amelia felt her face heat up. "They were retreating!" She said and Cedric rolled his eyes. "You could have gotten seriously hurt" Cedric said placing his hands on the girls shoulders. "I can take care of myself I don't need you to save me!" Amelia said and threw Cedric's hands off of her. "You did just a couple seconds ago!" Cedric said and Amelia almost laughed.
"I don't need you to protect me I can handle myself!" Amelia said and walked towards the castle. Cedric ran up alongside her and Amelia silently walked up to the castle. Cedric couldn't help but feel a bit guilty that he had yelled at the girl. She didn't even truly yell back at him. He could tell the girls feelings were hurt. She wasn't crying though. Cedric had never seen the girl cry before.
"I'm sorry Millie for yelling at you." Cedric said softly. Amelia looked up at him. "I can handle myself I don't need you to protect me" she said and Cedric nodded "that's fair" he said agreeing. "I just worry about you" Cedric said and Amelia looked up at him. "I know you do." She said and turned to face him.
"How did you even find me?" She curiously asked. "I was walking towards the quidditch field and saw you walking into the Forrest" Cedric explained. "Wow what a stalker" Amelia joked and Cedric laughed. "I was not stalking you, I just happened to see you!" Cedric said and that caused Amelia to laugh. "I'll be more careful" she said and Cedric thanked her.
The two quickly hugged and kissed and then they were up at the castle.
Hey guys I know this is more of a filler chapter but Cedric and Amelia had their first fight which is kinda fun. I know it wasn't even really a fight but that will be coming I promise... I hope you enjoyed the chapter!
