Ch. 11 "Pack"

                                                     Klaus POV 

Ray is on a pool table.) 

" Ok, it's a three step process, right? This is step one. I want you to drink from my wrist " I said 

" I already told you where to find the pack. What more do you want from me?" Ray said  

"Have you been listening to what I've been saying, Ray? I have great plans for you" I said 

 (I cut my wrist and makes him drink my blood) 

"You'll thank me for it later, heh" I said  

(Stefan arrives) 

" What are you going to do now?" Ray said 

 It's time for step two, Ray 

(He kills him and looks at Stefan)

"You're back " I said 

" Did you doubt me?" Stefan said 

"Not for a second. I knew you'd pass the test. You still care for your brother, for your old life " I said 

" I don't care about anything anymore" Stefan said 

" You put on a good show, Stefan. I almost believe you. Let's hope, for your brother's sake, he does. You never stop caring about family, do you? But every time you feed, the blood makes it easier to let go " I said 

I looked over at Cali who had her arms folded on the bar and was fast asleep, 

Stefan followed my gaze, 

I walked over to Cali, I picked her little body up, she hissed in pain, which gave me cause for concern, 

                                       Cali POV 

I hear talking 

" You ok? Is Ray getting heavy?" I hear Klaus say  

"I'm fine" I hear Stefan say  

" You sure about that? You know, we've been walking for quite some time now. If you need some water or a little sit-down... " I hear Klaus 

" You know, I get that we're, uh... we're stuck together, but if we could maybe just skip the chitchat, it'd be great" Stefan said  

"So much brooding. Your self-loathing is suffocating you, my friend" I hear Klaus

" Maybe it's 'cause I'm a little tired of hunting werewolves. We've been at it all summer" I hear Stefan 

"Thanks to our pal Ray, we found ourselves a pack. There" I hear Klaus 

I shift uncomfortably, my entire body felt as if it was on fire and it ached, 

"Shh it's alright little Minx," I hear Klaus 

I shifted a little 

                                    Klaus POV 

I could tell the Little Mix was uncomfortable but I couldn't tell you why, 

"Shh it's alright little minx," I said 

As if on pure instinct she nuzzled her face into my neck, 

Normally werewolves do that with a mate for a form of comfort, 

But I think she did that for a sense of comfort and security, she is a pup yet and a coyote, and can't recall her past, 

And I am a Hybrid, powerful, I'm sure she senses that, I thought as I looked at her sleeping face, that seemed to calm down, 

I just hope nothing bad is happening to her, I thought as we approached the pack of wolves,
