3rd person POV
As Amber left the Library to do her usual duties, Lisa lead Y/n to a nearby table. Y/n got comfortable in one of the spruce chairs as Lisa placed a sheet of paper infront of them . Raising a brow, Y/n took the paper and observed a few alien-like characters on the sheet. Y/n let out a heavy sigh as they rubbed their cheek with their finger, attempting to figure out the meaning of this paper.
Lisa only gave them a small smile before retreating to her desk. A little girl, who has just arrived at the library, noticed Y/n and scurried towards the librarian.
"Ms Lisa, Who's that? They look really pretty... " Ella Musk asked, watching the Child studying the language that Mondstadt uses.
"Oh, That's Y/n. I would say that, they are quite new to our language. So, I'm giving them a few lessons, " Lisa explained as she watched the clueless Child struggle.
"Why are you not there teaching them, then? " Ella Musk tilted her head at the mage.
"Well... "
Y/n glanced that the librarian and a girl who were chatting at counter. Y/n could not help but to feel guilt weighing on their head. They had no clue of what the words are. Moreover, they were unable to decipher anything written on the sheet of paper. However, something about this felt similiar to something else. What is that thing called again? Y/n tried to remember as their eyes wondered around the library.
"So what you're trying to say is that you're attempting making Y/n independent? "Ella Musk tried to summarize everything Lisa had told her.
Lisa nodded her head.
"I feel that it's the best option, especially for someone like them, " Lisa stated as she saw Y/n's eyes glimmer before picking up a nearby quill and started to write on the sheet of paper.
Lisa let out a smile as she watched the hardworking Y/n. Ella Musk smiled as well. I wonder what language they speak! Ella Musk wondered.
"Well, i should be studying by now. Bye Ms Lisa, " Ella Musk whispered before she quickly went to continue her studies in the hilichurl language.
Meanwhile, Y/n had just remembered what the sheet of paper was called. ' The Alphabet Chart' Y/n 's lips curved into a tiny smile as they jotted down the alphabet in their language onto the piece of paper. Once they had finished writing everything down, they finally understood what the sheet of paper was. It was the alphabet chart of Mondstadt's language. Y/n's glow grew brighter as they went up to Lisa and presented their work.
Lisa took the paper and examined the letters the Child had written. The characters look quite familiar to of Mondstadt's... Lisa thought as she studied the unusual language carefully. However, part of her mind was impressed that Y/n was able to understand it in a short amount of time. This proves that Y/n is able to move on to simple sentences. Lisa then took out another piece of paper and wrote a few simple sentences on it. After that, she gave the work to Y/n to decipher it. Lisa had also returned the alphabet chart to Y/n as reference.
The librarian then watched Y/n looking back at the alphabet chart and writing the meaning of each character in their language. She noticed the pure determination in those shimmering e/c eyes of the Child as they did their task. Y/n glanced between the chart and the assignment which was returned to them by Lisa. After a hour had passed by, Y/n managed to translate the whole sentence into their language. Y/n began to read the following sentence that they had just translated.
" Hello Y/n, my name is Lisa. I hope you're able to understand me now "
