The Classless Yank
Prince William's friends tell all

Still no engagement news from one the world's most high profile couples, but speaking with some of the prince's closest friends may explain why.

According to these sources Jaclyn Webber has been undergoing "princess training" Princess Diaries style, with a close friend of the royal family. We're told Webber is still in the early stages of her lessons, but will be working on her etiquette and cleaning up her accent.

"Which is for the best, listening to her is like nails on a chalkboard," a close source to the couple reveals.

When asked if a wedding is around the corner they also admitted, "some of us are still hoping it'll end cordially. Jackie's sweet, but she's a bit of a classless yank."

In other news royal watchers are speculating Webber will announce her retirement soon. After all she's not in The Royal Ballet's current production, Don Quixote.

However, the stellar ballerina will be returning to the stage mid February as Swanhilda in Copelia, and later as Juliet in Romeo and Juliet.

Webber has also been nominated for The Critics Circle "Best Female Dancer" Award, and in July she will be attending the Concert for Diana with her boyfriend, Prince William.

William confirmed this in a recent interview while training with the Blues and Royals. When asked if he was excited to share this with Webber he responded, "Yes, I'm very lucky to have her by my side."

So do you think an engagement is around the corner, or a breakup? We here at TMZ don't think either one is in the near future.

Cold eyes ran over the tabloid again, pushing back up to stare at Jaclyn before continuing reading. Lady Mountbatten hadn't spoken much since Jaclyn had arrived at Clarence House. From the second she entered their usual room the countess had been reading the newest and loudest press puff piece about her.

All day her mind had been throwing around possibilities for who these "sources" could be.

There was one-

The papers smacked on the table, and Penelope huffed looking more lost than upset. "Those skanks," she scoffed.

Jaclyn found her back was glued to her chair, unable to move as her mouth dropped. She hadn't placed the countess as... The type.

"Who exactly?" Jaclyn muttered, eyes still blown wide.

"The girls who "claimed" to be close friends with his royal highness, when in reality they most likely spoke to him once while at university," and again she huffed, "jealous skanks."

"Well it could have been some of Williams friends. I made Guy do dishes, and after that I felt ostracized by all of them," Jaclyn sagged a little, forgetting for a second she was in "princess lessons". "Really the only ones that like me are Kate and Charlie."

"Charlie?"

"The Earl of Aurendel," Jaclyn corrected herself. The future Duke of Norfolk was kind of shy himself, but had been close with William since they were toddlers. If nothing else at least she had his support.
