"You guys want some pizza?" Nash asks once everyone has settled into his humble abode

"You guys want some pizza?" Nash asks once everyone has settled into his humble abode. He lives in an apartment, which is pretty big for its size. We're sitting in the living room with one whole side of the wall just a plain glass window, where you can overlook the beautiful view of Boston.

"Sure."

"Okay."

"Extra cheese please." I chime in the order. "So what do you guys normally do? Besides boxing." I question the guys.

"Good question. What do we do?" Kade asks the guys.

"I don't know. I guess our lives are mainly containing boxing. There's really nothing much to it." Jed adds.

"So you guys don't like to go to school or work?" I ask shocked. Surely boxing can't be the only main thing in someone's life, can it?

"Well, I used to do a little football back in high school. The star quarterback. As obvious." Kade says. Well, he does look fit to be a football player.

"Yeah, I remember. You used to show off your stupid muscles to the cheerleaders. It was lame." Nash comments punching Kade's shoulder playfully.

"Wait you guys used to go to the same school?" I question surprised.

"Yeah, best friends since in diapers," Kade says, and both he and Nash fist bump.

"What about you Heath? Anything other than boxing?" I ask him softly. I feel like he doesn't like to share his personal life but I just want to get to know him better. Nothing wrong with that right?

"I wake up, go for a run, box, box again, break, then box again, then I go back to bed and do the same thing again the next day." He states like he's used to it. Well, then again he did say he does that routine every day so.

I just nod my head at his response. Nothing too vague, my life is basically the same thing. Well besides boxing. I wake up, eat breakfast, help May at her shop, eat lunch, break, leave, eat dinner, and go back to bed and do the same thing again the next day. "So how did you guys get into boxing?" I ask.

"Well, Heath was the first. Not sure how he got there but Nash and I ended up in the underground ring and it just happened. Needed to release some issues. Then Jed came along, ruined the vibe, and here we are." Kade answers.

"Can I try boxing one day?" I ask. I wasn't really keen on the idea of hurting other people, more importantly hurting myself physically. But now since I've met the rest of Jed's friends, they make it look so easy.

"No," Heath states shortly.

I turn to face him. "Why not? I'm not asking you for your permission." I argue back. Does he think he has this control over my life or something? He's not my mom. I don't even have a mom. Wow, that got deep for a moment there. Forget what I said.

"Still no. You're not getting in that ring. End of." He says back now staring at me with a serious expression on his face.

I cross my arms over my chest. "You don't even have to teach me. Oh, here's a thought. You don't even have to be there, Jed or someone else can. I just want to live a little. Jed, you even said so yourself." I try to reason with him.

"Come on Heath. What's the worst that can happen? Hmm? Prim breaks her nose so bad they'll have to remove it and she'll look like Voldemort from Harry Potter?" Jed says backing me up.

"I won't break my nose," I say lightly pinching his nose.

"Okay, what I'm trying to say is, give her a chance. It's not like she'll actually go in the ring and fight against someone." Jed adds.

Heath takes a frustrating breath in, trying to keep his anger at bay. Wait why is he even angry in the first place. It's not like he even cares a hair about me. "Please?" I beg quietly. Everyone is now still, waiting for Heath's response.

"Fine, but don't come crying to me when you hurt yourself," Heath says standing up. "I'll be back." He walks to the bathroom and closes the door.

"So when can I start?" I ask facing back to everyone else.

"Tomorrow? You can swing by anytime." Nash answers with a wink.

"Okay. I'm so excited." I say beaming happily.

"I'm so nervous," I say shrinking back in the car seat. I have my hair pulled back in double dutch braids and a sports bra covers my chest area.

"Come on, you wanted this," Jed says parking the car. He stops the engine and we both head out to the underground area. "We're not gonna put you in the ring yet."

I breathe a sigh of relief. "Oh thank goodness."

"But that doesn't mean I won't let this chance of me getting back at you for the all times you slapped me. But don't worry, I won't hit you as hard as you did me." Jed adds with a grin to which I roll my eyes at. We enter the room where everyone else is.

"Prim, you made it!" Kade yells from across the room.

"Yep, I'm here."

"Let's start. I'm so excited I never got the chance to do this." Nash says as he pulls me along. We now end up in this gym-looking training room with punching bags and boxing gloves lying around. "Put these on." He fits two large boxing gloves around my small hands.

"Okay, we're starting with punching. It's pretty easy. You try first and we'll correct you." Jed says as he takes me to one of the punching bags.

I throw a punch at the bag, it barely moves half an inch. Not bad. I go in to throw another but Nash stops me. "Woah, don't use your shoulder so much. If you swing a punch like that you could seriously dislocate it. Here." He goes behind me and uses a hand to grab hold of my right one and shows me how to punch not using my shoulder. I didn't even notice his other hand landing on my waist, holding me still. This is not awkward Prim, he's just showing you how to throw a punch. Be cool.

"Got that?" Jed says bringing me out of my train of thoughts. I nod my head and throw a punch, this time not using my shoulder as much. "Not bad could use a bit more work."

"We're gonna work on running now. You need to get into shape. We're gonna run around the whole platform 3 times." My eyes widen as Kade says this. 3 times? I don't think I can do this.

Jed senses my uneasiness as he places a hand on my shoulder. "We'll run with you so you'll be okay." I nod my head, still feeling uneasy. The last time I had to run a mile for school, and it did not go so well. I actually threw up in the bathroom. And my lungs were so dry I chugged down my whole water bottle.

"We'll take a quick break first," Nash says.

"Can we take breaks in between the run?" I ask feeling hopeful.

"We'll think about it." Jed answers.

"Okay then," I say and grab my water bottle and begin to down the whole thing. All of a sudden it is snatched away from me, leaving water dripping down my chin. "Why did you do that?" I ask while water still sits in my mouth.

"Drinking too much water before running can cause side pain. Just take sips, not shots." Heath says while holding onto my water, he brings it up to his lips and drinks the rest of it in one go.

"You just drank my water. And what're you doing here anyway?" I ask as he reaches his hand out to wipe the water dripping from my chin.

"I came to watch the show." He says with a smirk as he walks away. Stupid idiot.
