I sat on my board and put hers on top of it, under my legs to use as steering. we called it a "rocket ship"
quinn: ready?
josiah: not really-
quinn: too bad!
she gave me a push and there I was, bolting down the hill. a squirrel ran in the street and in front of me so I pushed down left on the board and it started skidding and I rolled off of the board
quinn: MAHAHAHAHA
she was laughing so hard you could hear her gasping for air in between laughs
quinn: are you okay!
she ran down hill, still laughing at me. when Quinn laughs, she LAUGHS and it makes anyone around her laugh. including me, with my scraped knee and hands
Quinn: YOU GOT LAUNCHED! YOU FLEW, BITCH!
she helped me up while still dying of laughter
Josiah: this is why we stopped skating
Quinn: no, we stopped skating because you broke your foot

I looked at her, unamused

the reason we stopped skating was because Quinn had the bright idea of kick flipping over a train, off of a ramp we had built. Quinn landed it because of her quirk, she turned her arms into these spikes which always helped her land up right. I on the other hand didn't want to be a cheater like her, and I made it over the train flawlessly... it was the landing that I didn't make. my foot landed in a hole and it stayed there, while the rest of my body kept going, resulting in a shattered, painful, broken ankle.
Quinn: come on! its my turn!
she ran uphill
Josiah: im going
my phone vibrated, I don't know how it hasn't shattered yet.
Eli: come eat, your grandparents are here, and bring Quinn
Josiah: yes ma'am
I ran uphill and informed quinn. we both walked into my driveway, terrified of the chaos that was behind the door.
Quinn: promise me you'll come out alive
Josiah: only if you promise
we both said while looking at the door and stretching

we both took in deep breaths and I opened the door.

she ran up to Quinn and I, squeezing the life out of us in one hug. my mom eventually stopped her from killing us and I walked over to my grandfather, well, both of my grandfathers

Josiah: hey old man
Bakugo: WHAT'D YOU CALL ME
I laughed and patted his head, but he smacked my hand away in embarrassment and crossed his arms, looking the other way

Todoroki: whats good
I dapped him up and my dad came over, laughing
