Two weeks later
Everything had been going well for the girls in their new lives.
Today Emilia's biological parents were returning from their work trip.
Knock Knock someone knocked on Emilia's bedroom door. Bella got up to open the door. It was Stefan.
"Mom and dad are gonna be home soon you gotta get up"
Bella: "Ok we'll start getting ready"
Stefan: "Wait Bella you're here too"
Bella: "Yea"
Stefan: "Why do you always sleep in Emilia's even though you have your own rooms, I just realized every day you guys have been here you always sleep together in Emilia's room WHY?"
Lexi: "Because we want to"
Stefan: "Ok yea but like why"
Bella: "We get to have a sleepover every night that's a valid reason to me"
Stefan: "Ok fine yea yea whatever"
The girls all gave each other a look knowing the real reason they always slept together. Emilia has to be tied down when she sleeps because of her horrible night terrors. Also ever since her suicide attempt the girls don't leave her alone at night.
Bella and Lexi went to their separate rooms to shower and get ready. Emilia does the same in her room
A few hours later Marco and Allegra had arrived and were about to unlock the door when Luca ran up and opened the door. "Hey mom and dad"
"Hey kid" Marco says shaking his hair
Allegra: "Hey we missed you kiddo" as she hugs him
Stefan comes and takes his parents bags to their room
Everyone else was eating lunch at the dining table. Marco and Allegra went there to greet everyone and grab some food
"Hey mom and dad" "What took so long, you were supposed to be here hours ago" "I missed you" "Mommy"
Marco: We had to switch jets so we were delayed a little.
Stefan: "I see"
Marco&Allegra: "Hey Emilia we missed you"
Emilia: "Hey mom hey Marco"
A slight frown came over Marco's face which he quickly covered but everyone had already seen it.
Thoughts: "Why won't she just call me dad, I mean she calls Allegra mom; Is it really that hard. I've spent over a decade trying to find her and I haven't ever heard her call me "Dad"
After their meal everyone goes their separate ways. Emilia, Lexi, and Bella go to the indoor pool. Bella and Lexi are swimming while Emilia is laying on a pool chair.
Bella: "Ask her"
Lexi: "No you"
Bella: "Come on you do it"
Lexi: "Why do I have to ask you ask"
Emilia: "Will one of you just say whatever it is"
Lexi: "All right Bella will ask"
Bella: "What"
Lexi: Makes face at Bella
Bella: "Okay um why didn't you call Marco dad and don't say it's because of what Lilith told you about him we know that's an excuse"
Marco was walking by and overheard the question. He walked closer to hear her answer but not close enough to be seen or heard
Emilia: "You want to know the truth fine, I already have a dad one who's been there for me and done things a dad should do even though I didn't share his blood I am his daughter and now what just cause some man who is my biological dad comes I'm just supposed to what accept him and call him dad I can't do that. I understand that Lilith took me from him and that he's been trying to find me all this time, but during all that time I already had someone who was my father, and before you ask the reason why I call Allegra mom is cause I've never had one she's my mom blood or not she treats me like her daughter which qualifies her to be called mom by me, I'm never going to call Marco dad ever I'm sorry but that just the way it is
A tear rolled down Marco's face. He was the ruthless leader of the Italian Mafia and he was crying. He started to walk away when he heard Matei "Dad why are crying" "Shhh" "I'll you later" "Why are you eavesdropping on the girls" "Just listen"
Lexi: "What about your brothers"
Bella: "Yea are you ever going to accept them"
