Korra took out car keys pressing a button to unlock the car on the driveway. "You drive?" Asami asked as she watched Korra open the back car door for Gommu. "I do, I just choose not to, but since its about to be dark I'd rather have us in a car than walking" Korra said with a shrug and opened the door for Asami, Asami got in and Korra closed the door. Korra got in after and they were off on their way to the bridge to drop Gommu off.

On the way, Asami noticed Korra fidgeting with the watch in one hand while the other held the steering wheel but her eyes were fixed on the road, Asami found herself lost staring at the driver, "we're here" Korra's voice broke Asami's gaze. Gommu got out the car "thanks again guys" Gommu said before he closed the door and walked away

"How far you live?" Korra asked Asami while she watched Gommu making sure he made it under the bridge safely."6 blocks from here passing the hospital" Asami answered Korra's question.

Korra looked at her phone for the time, 7:09, she put the phone back in her pocket and continued driving "you think I can stop at the hospital real quick? Or do you have to be home before a certain time?" Korra asked

"Oh no we can stop there, I have no rush getting home" Asami said with a smile 'I'm already getting my ass kicked minus well show up late to it'

—Asami's pov—

As we continued driving it was awkwardly quiet, but what else did I expect, it's Korra I'm in the car with. I looked over to her, she looked down at the watch and rubbed her thumb over it at a red light, the only thing I know is that watch use to belong to a kid before Iroh took it but why did it look so personal to Korra. I wanted to say something, anything really. I just wanted the silence to end.

"Sorry about my family" Korra spat out catching my attention "They can be a bit weird"

"Oh please they were funny, especially your uncle" I said with a chuckle as the memories ran through my head. "Not for nothing but you can be like him at times" I said earning a confused face "you act like your father but once someone actually gets to know you, I think you can be more like your uncle" I stated

"I guess your right" she said with a little confusion in her voice but I didn't care to explain more.

Thinking about the funny memories had me remember the last thing her uncle said, I couldn't help but let out a silent chuckle "what's so funny?" Korra asked me

"So you have a thing for tall fire nation women?" I teased.

"Wha-I-No!" She became flustered

"Calm down Korra, I'm just teasing" I said with a chuckle. she let out a sigh and continued driving "What ever...and thanks for standing up for Gommu" she spoke in a soft voice "how's your hand?"

"Oh you saw" I said rubbing my over my knuckles "it hurt like a bitch but it felt good" I said earning a soft chuckle

———

"We're here" her eyes met mine "just wait here, I'll be back in a sec" she said taking off her seatbelt, I quickly reached for her arm making her look back at me "what?"

—Korra's pov—

I was about to leave the car until I felt an hand tug on my arm, I looked back at Asami, she looked scared or something, I didn't know what it was but it looked like she didn't want to be alone or she didn't want me to leave. "What?" I asked her since she wasn't saying anything.

"C-can I come with you?" She stuttered out like if she was afraid to ask me. I reached for the key turning off the car as I gave her a nod.

There was something about Asami, she was different from the rest. I don't know what it is but part of me wants to find out but another part is telling me to stay away.
