*when you only kiss (Edit: tf- I have no idea how my auto correct made "now" into kiss i-) realised that you accidentally deleted this chapter as well when deleting several A/Ns and the Q&A when you found out a friend from school wanted to read this book and you didn't want them to find out about some stuff and yea*
Jirou's POV:
A couple of weeks have passed, since I stayed at Todoroki's house for the project. Momo and I hadn't actually done anything about the matter since. Todoroki seemed fine.
I wasn't really sure, but I kept telling myself that he was fine.
Third Person POV:
Fine. It may look like the boy was fine from the outside, but inside he was breaking. The so called 'training' just kept getting worse. Some might have thought, that now, when Endeavor reached his dream of becoming the number one hero, he would eventually stop. Well, that man had absolutely no intentions of stopping. He may have reached his goal, and generally promised Shoto roughly half a year ago that he would change, but he most definitely did not change.
Shoto's injuries were getting worse and worse every day, yet no one seemed to notice.
A noticeable thing was though, that the training was even worse in days when the teenager went to visit his mother in Fujiya Hospital.
——————————————————————
It was now nearing the end of September, and October was starting soon.
Shoto had just arrived home, and was greeted by Natsuo at the door. "Hey Sho! No training today, father's not home!", the taller male greeted his brother. The younger male was relieved, to say the least, by the fact that his father wouldn't be home and that there would be no training.
The two males made their way inside and sat down at the dining table with their sister.
They had been talking happily, before the heard the door practically being forced open. Dread flooded Shoto, because the person he wanted to see least at the moment was there.
"SHOOOOOOTOOOO!", the fiery man yelled when he entered. Fuyumi directly rushed to him, but was simply knocked to the side.
That's when Shoto noticed the bottle of alcohol in his father's hand.
He was drunk....
If Shoto hadn't been anxious beforehand, then he definitely was now. He quickly stumbled over to his father, before his siblings would get hurt even more.
Natsuo and Fuyumi simply watched in horror, as their baby brother was dragged towards the training room. They knew that training would be worse than usual today, since their father was drunk.
Meanwhile with Shoto, he was practically being thrown into the training room, like a rag doll. He still had quite a few injuries from the last few days of 'training', which made the whole thing worse.
He shakily got up, knowing that his father would've been even more annoyed at him, if he hadn't gotten up.Endeavor wasn't having it though, yanked his son by his hair and smashed the almost empty beer bottle on his son's head. The said boy let out a cry of pain, as he doubled over, after being released out of his father's strong grip.
The boy's father started vigorously punching, kicking, smacking and choking him, until he passed out, presumably from dizziness, pain and blood loss.
Fuyumi and Natsuo were still in the dining room, clinging onto each other, while they heard the muffled cries, thumps and screams coming from the training room.
At this point Fuyumi was practically bawling her eyes out, while Natsuo was trying to calm her down a little.
"We- Nats, we need to- need to do something about this-", Fuyumi wailed as she clung on to her brother even more.
"Fuyumi... I know, but... we can't, and you know it... We've tried before, remember?", the boy trailed off, remembering the times they tried to tell someone about it, how they were laughed at, how Endeavor found out, and how much worse Shoto's training was that day. After a while, they heard the door of the training room sliding open, and their father stomping out and heading towards his room. When were sure he was in his room, and wouldn't leave, the two ran down the hall to the training room.
Natsuo opened the door, and was met with a horrible sight. They knew that today had been even worse, due to Endeavor being drunk, but this was a lot worse than they imagined.
There was blood splattered on the ground and on the walls along with some burns and little fires, and in the middle of it, lay Shoto, in a pool of his own blood. He seemed to be unconscious, but he was gasping for air, his breathing ragged.
At the sight of this, Fuyumi let out a cry of shock. She and her brother rushed over to Shoto. Fuyumi was already sobbing, as Natsuo picked up Shoto and motioned her to follow him to the youngest male's room.
They reached it, and laid down the unconscious boy on his bed. The first aid kit was still in his room from the day before.Fuyumi and Natsuo cleaned Shoto's wounds, put burn cream of his burns and covered him in bandages. Seeing how upset his sister was, Natsuo went over to her and embraced her in a warm hug, which she directly melted into.
"He- He's going to- *hiccough* to kill Sho o-one day....", Fuyumi sobbed into his shoulder. It was true, in Natsuo's mind, but hearing it like that just made it worse. He could feel his own eyes starting to water up.
"I- *sigh*.... maybe.. but.. there's still hope, you know.... Maybe his teachers or so will find out or something....", he said, finding comfort in his own words. He truly hoped that someone would find out, and would actually be able to do something about it.After comforting Fuyumi, the second youngest Todoroki suggested they head to bed, which is what they did.
The next morning Shoto woke up and was immediately met with blinding pain. Groaning at the pain searing through his body, he slowly tried sitting up, and instantly regretted it. After a while of struggling, he finally managed to get into a decent sitting position, and not long after Fuyumi came into his room, to check whether he was up and how he was feeling.
As usual, his response was a "I'm fine". Fuyumi had known him long enough, to tell that that was a lie. "Shoto, you're not 'fine'. Look at you! I know you don't like missing school, but it'd be better if you stayed home today", she insisted.
Let's just say Shoto wasn't having it. There's no way he could miss school today! They had a rather important test today, and he would fail, if he was sick.
After arguing with his sister for a few minutes, she sighed and gave in.Triumphantly, Shoto thanked his sister by saying a "Thank you, Fuyumi!".
There was no point denying it, Fuyumi Todoroki did not want her brother going to school in the injured state he was in, but she knew how stubborn he could get.
Shoto got up and got washed and dressed after Fuyumi had left. He was a little anxious, which wasn't something new, but especially today he was extremely anxious about going to class. He didn't have enough time to cover up all his injuries, and especially the one on his head would be obvious, due to the fact that he had a bandage around his head. His best hope was that no one would question him about it, or at least believe whatever lie he came up with.
Anyways, I hope you still have a nice day/night!
