We keep asking...
For more time,
Without ever realising,
That it's the greatest paradox.
It is time that allows,
Us to change.
Sometimes for better,
Sometimes for worse.
It's time that,
Allows us to heal,
And lets us break,
All the same.
It's because of time,
That love fades.
And faith wavers,
But time does not wait.
Only if time were stopped,
We would have stayed in love.
Never would have broke promises.
I thought that, in the days I loved.
Only if time had stopped,
I would have cried and cried,
And felt alone.
I thought that, in the days I broke.
Had time stopped that day,
Someone wouldn't have died.
Had time stopped that day,
Someone wouldn't feel alive.
If I asked you-
What you'd prefer-
Would you know the answer for sure?
Whether to stop time or let it flow?

Haven't we all wished for time to stop. To stay so we won't let a particular moment, feeling, event fade away. But haven't we also wished that time would rush forward because we weren't in a favourable situation.
If simply asked to choose one would you be able to?
I find it rather difficult because maybe I'm that kind of person who craves stability but I also understand the concept of 'moving on'
