Fifth Year:

"I'm trying to find the right words to describe my feelings... but it's too hard."

"Lily, it's not like that. It was for the bet, I don't like him." I looked at his hair but it stayed the same color. "I don't even know him." He added.

"I can't believe you kissed a Slytherin..." Fred sighed giving the list back to Teddy. "And also a boy?! Dude, come on. I mean, I get it if he was a Ravenclaw. But Slytherin? Are you out of your mind?"

I rolled my eyes at Fred.

He has this weird hate towards Slytherin boys.

Oh, and also Ravenclaw girls.

But never ask him the reason, if you don't want to listen to his nonsense for three hours straight.

I looked at Roxanne who was still heaving her shocks. She looked at me and gave me face which basically said 'give me a little more time to sink it all in.'

I nodded and looked back at Teddy. "You don't even fancy him? Like, at all?"

"Sorry to break it to you Lils, but, I'm straight."

"But that's like.... impossible. Everyone fancied Nico at some point. I mean look at him-" we all turned and looked at the Slytherin table.

Nico was talking with a few of his friends and drinking his juice.

He was still in his black-green uniform while his black messy hair was resting on his forehead. When he is holding his glass, you can easly see his silver rings.

"No offence but he's hot as hell..."

Roxanne nodded in agreement. "She's not lying."

James let out a short laugh "Everyone knows I'm the hottest Gryffindor."

I snorted and picked up my fork to continue eating.

"What? It's true!" And there it is. He is adjusting himself and sitting straight.

"Look Potter, I'm really not in the mood to argue. But I most say... you are totally wrong. Even I fancied Nico."

He let out a dramatic gasp.

"What? It's true." I shrugged my shoulders and continued. "It's a known fact that he is the hottest guy in Hogwarts."

Teddy put the peace of paper back to his inside pocket before talking. "Lily, I want an honest answer. Who is hotter, James or Nico?"

I let out a small laugh and looked at my friends. "Nico. I would totally date him if he wasn't one of my close friends."

Am I lying?

Nope.

James cleared his throat. "So you think Nico is better than me?"

I rolled my eyes. "I don't think he is better than you. I know he is better than you."

He gave me a disgusted face. "So why don't you ask him out? You would be perfect for each other."

I sat straight. "Maybe I will."

"If he's so hot and perfect, you should totally date him. And be his girlfriend. And have romantic dates and kisses with him."

"Huh, not a bad idea."

"I know, it's not a bad idea."

"That's what I just said."

"I would love to see that."

"Oh, you will."

"I'm very excited."

"Good!"

"Good!"

I hit my knife to the table, which made both Fred and Roxanne jump, and realized the great hall wasn't as loud as it was.

Everyone was done with their meal and was going back to their houses.

"Burrito?" Fred asked with a squeaky voice.

James and I continued the death glares while he answered. "I told you I don't like Mexican food."

I answered for Fred. "Oh, so you don't have a good taste either."

Suddenly a ghost head appeared on the table.

"Did you guys know all these new foods are because of the new house elf?" Ghost Fred asked with a wide smile.

I raised one of my eye brows at James as Ghost Fred turned his head.

"I feel like this is not a good timing..."

"Actually, it's a great timing." I got up from my seat. The great hall was almost empty now. "I was about to leave so you can take my seat, so won't have to do...." I showed the table with my hands. "That."

*****

Stupid bet.

Stupid Potter.

Stupid good looking Nico.

Stupid Emma the 'not like other girls' sicko.

Stupid everything.

Ooooh, I despise Potter so much!

All I want is to have a normal conversation with my friends, but no. He has to make it about himself.

Is Nico better than me blah blah blah

I turned right instead of left, after cursing under my breath, I turned the other way.

"Holy Merlin!" I jumped back. "Don't do that!" I held my chest and closed my eyes.

"You're the one who bumped into me!" He yelled.

"You're the one who was way too close to me, Potter!"

"And now we're back to Potter! What's next? Acting like you don't know me?"

"What are you tal-" I stopped when a bunch of second years passed us giggling. I rolled my eyes and looked around to find a door.

I opened the closest door and dragged him in after making sure it was an empty class.

"What are you talking about?!" I whisper yelled.

"It's so hard and confusing to understand you, sometimes!" He whispered back.

"Me?! You're the one who manages to turn everything into stupid fights and pranks!"

"You're the one with stupid pranks! And don't think I forgot your little prank from yesterday."

"What does that even has to do with anything?!"

He completely ignored my question and continued.

"And for the record, I am way much better than that weird Slytherin!"

"He's not weird!" I hissed.

"Are you seriously going to defend him right now?"

"Yes, is there something wrong with that?"

He let out an angry laugh. "I can't believe you choose him over me! How long have you known him for? A year? I am way much better than him!"

"Why do you care so much?! I don't like you! You are mean to me, and he's not! Nico and I are good friends who don't prank each other five times a day or fight all the time! But you and me? That's exactly what we do! We fight, we cast spells on each other, we shout, we prank..."

I looked around the room again to make sure we were alone.

"And what kind of question is that, dumbass?! Me or him? He is handsome and nice! And you're not any of that!"

"Okay!"

"Okay!"
