-Your POV-
"Wh- what do you mean? Can't you just hire two? Not that big of a difference," I huffed. The worker, who's name was Yuki Nakamura, sighed.
"Nope, sorry. It's a small little shop and we've got enough people. A little girl 'round your age actually came just yesterday to apply, and we hired her," he stated.
"Wait..." Bam softly started, "w- was her name Rachel Light? Blonde hair and freckles?"
"Why yes, indeed," Yuki answered, "I guess you know her already." I stared at Bam in shock. How the hell did he know-? And why the hell did she want to work here of all places?
"OK, OK fine!" I sighed, placing my hands on the table as I stood up. "Good luck Bam!" I smiled at the boy, "I hope you treat him well, Yuki." I dramatically said as I bowed.
"When did we get on a first-name basis?!" He sweatdropped.
"I shall be taking my leave!" I fake-cried. "Goodbye, my friend! Farewell!" I waved at the dumbfounded Bam staring at me as I danced out of the shop only to then breathe out onto the cold glass, drawing a broken heart.
I then pressed my sad face on the window, staring at them in sadness. Yuki then got up, making his way to the door. I take my face off the glass, hopeful that he'd make an exception and hire me, too. I could only stare as he turned the lock on the door and flip the sign to now say "Sorry, we're closed!"
"HEY WHAT'S THE BIG IDEA?!" I yelled from outside as I tried to open the locked door.
"Go home," Yuki said from inside. I chuckled evilly as I took a bobby pin out of my hair and began to pick the lock (let's say it's possible here). "Hey what the hell-?!"
"You're committing a crime, Yuki!" I yelled.
"Says the one picking a lock-!"
"I'm gonna die out here in the cold and if you don't let me in, you basically murdered me!" Bam watched in comical horror, slightly amused by this fiasco.
-Khun's POV-
'What the hell is she doing?' I thought to myself as the girl tried to pick the lock of the ice cream shop. I was just around the corner, behind a conveniently placed garbage can. I then heard something about murder and decided it was time to intervene. I casually walked around the corner, (Y/N) not being aware of my presence.
"Boo," I said next to her ear. She yelped and dropped the pin she was just using.
"Khun-! What're you doing here?"
"I'd ask the same thing," I said, eyeing the pin she tried to pick a lock with.
"A- ah! You see-"
"Look, if you know her, please take her home, it's closing hours," a boy with dirty blonde hair, bright green eyes and looking to be in his 20s, said.
"Alright," I replied as Bam soon came out of the, now unlocked, entrance.
"You kids get home safe, and Bam, your work starts on Tuesday, 'kay?" Bam nodded in response.
"'Kay, bye Yuki!" (Y/N) waved cheerfully at him, completely ditching the negative mood she seemed to have just a moment ago. She skipped ahead of Bam and I as we started walking down the side-walk. She turned around to smile at us as she continued walking backwards.
"That was interesting," she stated while Bam hummed in agreement.
"I'm kinda sad you didn't get the job, though, (N/N)," Bam sighed as (Y/N) came back, walking in between us. She patted him on the head, making his cheeks light up. I rolled my eyes.
"Oh, you two were there to apply for a job?" I asked, although I already knew of their little objective. The two nodded. "Figured, it's kinda cold out anyway." I looked up at the clouds.
"Yeah, I know right?! Who'd have known? I should've brought a sweater," (Y/N) cried as she rubbed her arms. I chuckled, wrapping an arm around her shoulders and pulling her closer to me.
"Who needs a sweater when you have me?" I whispered into her neck, making her shiver. Bam's eyes sadly drifted to stare at the concrete in front of him.
"UHM- SIR-" (Y/N) loudly exclaimed as she tried to push me away. I grinned and suddenly let go of her, making her slightly trip. She caught herself in time before she could fall, though.
"Are you OK?" Bam asked her.
"YUP! PERFECTLY FINE! NEVER BEEN BETTER!" She nervously laughed as she rubbed the back of her head. She walked a bit ahead of us, so I couldn't see her face, but my bet was that her face was really warm right now. So, hey! It worked! She's no longer cold. ;) "Aaaanyhoo," the girl sang with her arms held behind her back, "did you walk here, Khun?"
"No, I was dropped off right around the corner here, but I can walk you two home if you'd like," I said, not wanting Bam to feel left out of the conversation.
"O- oh, no no, you don't have to!" Bam stammered as he waved his arms, (Y/N) nodding in agreement.
"Wait- actually, why don't you two come over at my place-?" She then gasped, "WE COULD HAVE A SLEEP-OVER!" She cheered.
"One, wouldn't your parents beat your ass- two, we have school tomorrow," I informed her as she deflated.
"H- hey, it's OK!" Bam tried to cheer her up. A sleepover would be pretty convenient though. I need more information on this girl. Her files say nothing other than the bit of info I already know. I must dig deeper, in a better place, and what better place than in her own home!
"Aight, fine- sleepover some other time, but just stay for a bit! I'm... a little lonely at the moment," she twiddled her fingers.
"It's fine, by me," I said, placing my hands into my pockets. This is perfect. Hopefully I get the chance to look around. It's not that I hate her or anything. I'm actually starting to really warm-up to her. I just need answers. That's all.
"Well, OK, then! It won't hurt to stay for a bit," Bam smiled.
"It's settled, then!" She clapped her hands together. Visiting (Y/N)'s for a bit... what could possibly go wrong?
