Serena and Izzy had hoped that Cleophas would help reforge Glorious, seeing as the serum was a bust when it solidified into rock.

Thankfully, with some heavenly fire, molten Adamas, and Serena's angelic blood, Izzy could forge a new sword with Cleophas's tools that Luke had brought over.

But they needed to move fast. The Clave had reinstated the kill order on Jonathan, meaning Clary would be killed too.

Which was why Jace was trying to convince Clary and Jonathan that he was on their side, that he loved Clary so much that he'd abandon everything just to be with her, even his sister.

Jonathan hadn't bought it at first, but then Jace showed them how he no longer wore the Herondale ring, explaining that his sister and he had gotten into a fight over his decision and after some hurtful comments, she'd ripped it from his neck, saying that if he went with them that he was no longer a Herondale.

Jace was now in Prague with the siblings before contacting his sister and explaining how the two planned to kidnap the Seelie Queen and use her as a bargaining chip for the Morningstar Sword.

They truly could do nothing but try and reforge Glorious faster to separate them.

But Serena was only filled with worry when Jace told her that he'd ingested a Seelie hallucinogen, a party drug and made it difficult for him to focus.

But that worry faded when Serena and Alec stood in the weapons room as Izzy drew the sword, the weapon glowing with heavenly fire.

But her brows furrowed when Izzy offered her the hilt.

"Why are you giving this to me? You forged it, you should wield it," she asked in confusion and Izzy smiled.

"Cleophas said that the blade will be even stronger in your hands. That your angelic blood calls to it, especially since we used your blood to forge it. You can hear it can't you?"

"It's like this feeling of pure peace and power at the same time. Like I'm invincible," she confirmed.

"Take it."

And Serena's bare hand wrapped around the hilt, warmth and power flooding her as the heavenly fire coursed through her veins, her eyes closing as she felt as light as a feather.

"Serena?" called Simon's uncertain voice and her eyes opened to see herself off the ground, white wings spread behind her like an angel before they vanished, and she fell with a scream.

Fell into Alec's arms as he rushed to catch her.

"Are you ok?" he asked as he set her on her feet, the sword still in her hand.

"Fine," she said staring down at the blade. "Let's go get Clary."
