They all seemed hopeless, but I had a way to get the trial started.

"There was some evidence gathered, Zenshiro was a witness of sorts," I gestured towards him.
He nodded, "I heard the gunshot after I got a glass of water, and I dropped the glass,"
"You must've left foot prints that led down the dorm room hallway," I suggested.
"I might've," He nodded.
"There were also footprints leading down the hallway that the body was found," I explained, "That's also where Zenshiro's Mono-Pad was moved to, so maybe they grabbed it when he left and put it near the body to frame him,"
"That does sound reasonable, so who would the killer be?" Arisa asked.
"Daisuke," I pointed at him.
"Huh?" He looked at me confused.
"There's a specific clue that ties to you, it's the knot that the rope was tied with," I explained.
"Mamoru, you remember the knots I taught you, right?" He asked.
"Yeah, why?" I responded.
"Did the knot look like any of mine?" He asked.
"I...don't think so," I sighed.
"I never use a knot that's not useful," He nodded.
I leaned on my podium, "I forgot that part,"
"I don't think he even knows how to use a gun, and that's a pretty important part," Isamu explained.
"Wait, what about Kunihiko? She's been oddly quiet," Shin pointed out.
"I'm confused and have no input," She shook her head.
"What evidence would tie into her?" I asked.
"Well, she's gotta know how to tie things," Shin said, "She wears a bow all the time,"
"That...is kind of a good point," I replied.
"See? She can be a suspect!" Shin exclaimed.
"Where would I get a gun?" She asked, slightly upset.
"That's the point, none of us know where to get a gun," Ayu said.
"Ayu, you were nowhere to be seen after we settled in, and you weren't around after the gunshot," Koki pointed out.
"C'mon, I wouldn't kill a kid," She shook her head, "Kaz definitely could though,"
"Oh my FUCKING GOD." Kaz banged on her pedestal, "WHEN ARE Y'ALL GONNA REALIZE THAT I AIN'T GONNA KILL ANYONE?!"
"You seem just as suspicious," Ayu shrugged.
"Kaz was in her room, she was terrified, she wouldn't have been able to run back to her room after the gunshot that quickly and place my Mono-Pad at the scene," Zenshiro explained.
"She seems like a slow runner anyway," Ayu laughed.

Kaz almost ran over and beat her up, Zenshiro and I held her back. It was painful. Koki cleared his throat.

"If you are all done, I would like to touch base on one thing," Koki said.
"Go on," I replied.
"Zenshiro's alibi," He looked at him, "How can we be sure he didn't go to the crime scene? Both sets of footprints could be from him,"
"I was in a state of panic, I wouldn't go over there," Zenshiro shook his head.
"He was, he wouldn't have time between the gunshot and when he was banging on Kaz's door to come in," I explained.
"He did that?" Arisa asked, then she laughed, "Man, thats lame,"
"I- YOU WOULD DO THE SAME IN THAT SITUATION-" He pointed at her.
"What situation? Killing someone?" Koki asked.
"NO, RUNNING FOR YOUR LIFE, FEELING LIKE YOU'RE ABOUT TO DIE," He now banged on his pedestal.
"Okay, it's getting a bit aggressive here," I tried to calm down the room.
"We're also getting off topic," Shichiro added.
"That's true, we need to know where someone can get a gun from, that might help," I said, "Wait, on the Mono-Pads, isn't there an inventory section?"
"I think there is," Daisuke nodded.
"Well, that's how we can find out who had the gun in the first place, but that doesn't automatically make them the culprit," I explained.

Almost all of us turned on our Mono-Pads, besides Zenshiro.

"Zenshiro, where's your Mono-Pad?" Koki asked.
"It's broken," He took it out of his pocket, "It must've happened when I dropped it,"
"But, it wasn't broken when we found it at the scene," I noticed.
"Then...why doesn't it turn on?" He tried turning it on, no result.
"W-What-?" Yokichi asked, "How d-did that even happen-?"
"You did drop it in the water, didn't you? If what you said is true," Koki said.
"It was dry at the scene," I added.
"Looks like someone fumbled in their plan," Ayu laughed.
"What-?!" Zenshiro looked at her confused, "I never had any plan to begin with, I had no idea it was broken before I came,"
"Then it wasn't broken," Koki said, "And it isn't broken."
"It seems pretty fuckin' broken," Kaz growled, "Come try it yourself, smartass,"
