Core witch: Her magical powers come from herself. She doesn't need the ancestors to access her powers and limited her. The more she practices, the stronger she gets, it works like a muscle.
About the plot: Some plotlines may differ from the original plot because of Melody's presents. For example Damon's obsession with Kathrine and him using Caroline( I don't like it as a plot point anyway).
