Warrior

She's lonely; she's depressed
She's hesitant to get out of bed,
And face the cruel world everyday.

A world that is ready to pounce on
her-
Unfriendly and inconsiderate.

In the beginning she used to feel alone and weak;
But now she's strong-

Strong enough to flash a smile,
One that outshines her misty eyes-
To bite her lips and go on
through life

As if nothing had happened.

This my first poem, actually.

I wrote it when I was thirteen, and hence the weirdness here. :)

By the way, ever heard of the Semicolon Project? Today when I was typing out the poem here, I decided to put a semicolon at the end of the first line of the third stanza, intentionally, for that reason.
Do tell me how you felt on reading the poem. Would love to know.
