Layla

"It's been a month Landon."

I watch him run a hand through his hair as he turns on a light in his hotel room.

"I know baby, I don't know how long it'll be." His deep voice says making me urge him more.

"You'll be here before graduation right ?" I ask hopefully.

"I told you I would." He says through the phone.

"I've gotta go now, I'll call you later." He says and hangs up on the phone.

I sigh and place my phone down and make my way into the cafe.

Landon and I have been either calling or Face timing each other, every couple of days.

Graduation was in a few weeks and so was Christmas, so New York was nearly drowning in snow.

I spot Eliot and Violet at our usual table.

I take a seat and immediately wrap my hands around the hot chocolate they ordered for me.

"So it's official." Violet says happily.

I smile brightly at her and clap my hands.

"Oh my god!" I say happily and hug her.

The guy she's been seeing for a while now finally asked her to be his girlfriend.

I could tell she felt deeply for this boy, and Violet never did fall for many guys at all, but this one was different.

Eliot and I met him at a party last week, he was a pretty nice guy even when Eliot was going all 'I'm a big football guy so I can beat you up', he stayed pretty chill.

The three of us talked and ranted to each other for hours, as time passed by we decided to leave.

Eliot dropped Violet and me home, and I decided to shower and make dinner.

Just before I plugged my phone in the charger my phone dinged and I looked down to see it was a message from Landon.

Landon

Call?

I smiled down at the phone and immediately pressed on FaceTime.

Landon's face comes into view as he seemed to be walking outside.

"Hi." I greet him.

"Hey, Love" Landon's deep voice says.

I smile at him as he looks down at me with his grey eyes.

"What are you doing?" I ask him as I make my way downstairs.

He shrugs and goes into his car.

"Just finished." That is all he says as he leans his head back against the seat.
