Chapter 15

John POV

I looked at Remi, she looked at me with apologetic eyes.

"ISEN get in here" I yelled

"John- I" Remi stuttered

Isen walked in the room.

"Woah" he said

There wasn't much, just the newspaper clippings attached to a map and a couple of other news paper clippings about the attacks. Also a picture of a boy with teal-green hair and burn marks all over his face.

"Remi, is this your Ember investigation" Isen asked

"Y-Yeah" Remi siad 

"What's it for" Isen asked

"Well I thought that if I could find them I could take them down" Remi said

My eyes shifted to her

"You don't mean you planned on going out there, as a vigilante" I said

"I did" Remi said

"No, you can't" I said

"Why not?" Remi said demandingly

"Because you could die" I said

"So what, am I supposed to give up" Remi demanded

"N-No it's just" I said

"It's just what, to dangerous. You want me to give up, give up on stopping a killer, give up on getting justice for Rei" Remi exploded tearing up talking about Rei

I pulled Remi into a big hug

"No, don't give up, but don't be reckless, I-I can't lose you" I said soothingly

Remi started sobbing.

"Remi, if I help you get information, will you promise not to go out as a super hero, without me and John with you" Isen asked

"O-Okay" Remi said though tears before burying her head into John's shoulder

"Okay I'm gonna leave you two to your business" Isen said leaving

Isen left and I broke the hug

"John?" Remi asked

"Please don't do anything reckless" I said

She smiled at me

"I won't" she said

I smiled back

"Good" I said

I walked back to my apartment and called my dad

"Hey John, what's up" Dad said

"Hey Dad, I have a friend who is thinking about becoming a super hero, and I don't know what to do" I said

"Well are they strong?" Dad asked

"Very" I said

"Well what's the problem?" he asked

"I don't fully trust them not to do something reckless out of anger" I said

"Okay well then, if they go out, be there to support them" Dad said

"Okay thanks" I said

"Anytime" Dad says

I hung up the call

Friday (final day of New Bostin visit)

Remi POV

Me, John, Sera, Isen, Claire, and Adrion were sitting at Woba Boba

"So last day" Isen said

"Yep" Claire

"How did you like Wellston" I asked

"I liked it" Adrion said

"Yeah" Claire said

"Gonna try to transfer?" I asked

"Yep" Adrion

"Same" Claire said

"Cool" I said

"I'm also leaving this afternoon" Sera said

"Yeah" I said

"It's not fair" John said

"Yeah, All you did was read a book" Isen said

Sera shrugged

"Either way, Vaughn couldn't convince the authorities to stop the suspension" Sera said

We finished our drinks and made our way to the school. The busses were already waiting for the New Bostin students

"Bye" I yelled as the busses

Once the busses were gone a limo pulled up and a man stepped out

"Miss Seraphina" the man said

"Bye guys" Sera said

"Bye Sera" John said

"See ya" Isen said

"Goodbye" I said

Sera got in the car and it drove off. Now it was just Me, John,and Isen

"What now?" I asked

"Now we wait" John

"Wait? For what" I asked

"Blyke" Isen said
