SUMMARY

It seemed most of the problems had disappeared with Voldemort. The remaining Death Eaters would be prosecuted and sent to Azkaban, and those who had been under the Imperius curse were set free.

But no matter how hard the Ministry of Magic tried, they couldn't imprison every last one of them like they hoped. There were those who claimed to be coerced into it, who could claim to be under a curse or forced into it by the the threat of death on their families.

Some of these claims checked out and some were actual things that happened. Others simply got away with lying and could live out the rest of their lives trouble free and staying out of the eyes of the law.

Until these former Death Eaters began to turn up dead. It seemed that someone was getting their vengeance, two years later. And it was up to the newly-reformed Department of Aurors to fix it.

And who else would be leading the investigation other than the Boy Who Lived.
